People’s greed and inflamed egos on social media are symptoms of a society that values appearances more than essence. Many seek approval, fame and success at any cost, without caring about the well-being of others or the truth. These people forget that life is brief and fleeting, and that one day they will have to give an account to God for what they have done.
The true purpose of the Christian is to love God above all things and his neighbor as himself. Love is the greatest commandment and the fruit of the Spirit. Love is not envious, nor proud, nor selfish. Love is patient, kind, humble and selfless. Love does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth. Love suffers everything, believes everything, hopes everything, supports everything.
As the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:13: “Now therefore faith, hope and love remain, these three, but the greatest of these is love.”

Vemos isso claramente na lei dada por Deus a Moisés, no Antigo Testamento. Deus instruiu o seu povo em relação à alimentação. Isso porque ele se importa com a sua criação, e a alimentação não é algo trivial sem implicação em outras áreas da vida.

Quero nesse trecho falar sobre os falsos profetas. A história da igreja de Cristo é inseparável da história das tentativas de Satanás de destruí-la. Enquanto desafios difíceis surgiram de fora da igreja, os mais perigosos sempre foram os que surgiram de dentro. Pois, de dentro surgem os falsos mestres, os mercadores do erro que se disfarçam como mestres da verdade. Falsos mestres assumem muitas formas, adaptadas aos tempos, culturas e contextos.

Now man was unable not to sin. In the fall, human nature lost its freedom not to sin. Why is man incapable of not sinning? Because after the fall “what is born of the flesh is flesh” (John 3:6), and “the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God; indeed, it cannot be, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8, my translation).
