It may be tempting to push through signals from your body, like grogginess or lack of focus, with something artificial, like caffeine or foods high in added sugar. But if you support your body with rest instead, you’ll naturally feel refreshed and renewed. ⁉️Have you heard of Ultradian Rhythms? •
Ultradian rhythms are biological rhythms that occur within a 24-hour period but have a shorter duration than circadian rhythms. While circadian rhythms have a period of approximately 24 hours, ultradian rhythms have a period of less than 24 hours.
One example of an ultradian rhythm is the sleep cycle. During sleep, we go through different stages, including rapid eye movement (REM) sleep and non-REM sleep. These stages repeat throughout the night in cycles of approximately 90 minutes. Each cycle consists of periods of light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep.
