Broadway Debut ✅ • The energy inside and outside of the theater last night was absolutely electric. Overjoyed to start sharing this show with the world. Its creation has been an epic labor of love on everyone’s behalf. We are so grateful for the support and response. Buckle up!!!

This was 4 months ago, today! Just moments before brain surgery! • Today I’m at theater prepping for the 5th preview of @outsidersmusical on Broadway. The @nytimes recently wrote about our show and the end of the article said: ““creation can actually save you. It is a means of some salvation.” Hinton knew it firsthand. “The year I wrote ‘The Outsiders,’ my father was dying of a brain tumor,” she recounted, back in her hometown library. “It was very slow. It was very painful. It was horrendous to watch. And I chose to write because I didn’t want to live where I was living. I lived in ‘The Outsiders,’” • I got chills when I read it. We have a lyric in our show asking “Am I writing the story, or is the story writing me?” • I’m just trying to be present and am so proud to share this story with the world in the new way.
Remembering this awesome day with @_brettwarren_ and @dior for their #gemdior collection. It’s been a little while since I’ve danced like this. I trust that the opportunity to move like this again will find me if it’s meant for me. In the mean time I’m helping build a Broadway show that I’m obsessed with and I love not have to come to work in tights and a dance belt 😮💨
The @outsidersmusical cast moved into the theater today. I am settling into my first Broadway dressing room to premiere an original show that I believe in with every fiber of my being. This all just three months after having literal brain surgery! ‘Proud’ is too short a word to describe the feeing. I am so grateful for my immense will to live, and for everyone who supported me over unfathomable obstacles so that I could lean my head out of this little dressing room window. • The whole company brings humor, grit, heart, and soul into the space every single day. I deeply believe that the world is going to be SHOOK by what we’ve made. All the artists involved in this show have so much to give, and can’t wait to give it. The Jacobs theater already feels like home and we are so excited to host everyone who wants to visit.
