Today I celebrate 18 years Sober. I’m beyond grateful for a loving God, the 12 steps, my sponsor @theresafair, my family, friends & the 12 step community. To my husband @timryandopeman, I love you my king & thank you for being my partner in every way, for holding me up when I need it & for always inspiring me to grow. For all the laughter & how much you love me. I’m so honored to be your wife. Tim you are a gift from God.
I’ve come along way from the lost girl I once was. I no longer live with untreated trauma, guilt, shame or remorse. I do not do this alone. I have recovered out loud. I have no shame in saying “I’m a woman in recovery” because it gave me a life. I had to & still do the work. Today there is so much more depth & weight to who I am on the inside. I know I just have today & spiritual tools to use. I do not do this journey alone.
For anyone struggling I promise there is hope and help out there.
This disease of addiction does not discriminate. While we are out there drinking & using it’s not only killing us, it’s killing everyone we love around us.

What an amazing Saturday night @timryandopeman and I had in #SouthBeach with our best friends @brandon__novak @mattganem_poet & @jroccoxo. We went to @papisteak and it didn’t disappoint. The food was so amazing and the ambience was on fire. It’s truly an experience to go to #PapiSteak. Oh what a night. We laughed, ate (best food ever), had great conversatio, danced a little (ok I did lol) , walked around a bit and did I say we laughed, because we did so much of that.
To see the love Tim, Brandon and Matt have for each other is truly so beautiful & pure. It’s amazing to be able to say we all work in the same space and only support and love each other. We build each other up.

When I was on the cover in 2019 it was one of my biggest accomplishments in my recovery but this cover is more special because my husband and I are the 1st couple ever to be on #RecoveryTodayMagazine.
