when we redid our backyard, I did it dreaming of nights like this… I made my mom’s pesto, @markduplass’s grilled chicken and some delish recipes from @athenacalderone, we poured wine from @marignywines and @scribewinery, I set the table with linens from @heathertaylorhome and @madrelinen, filled vintage vases with wildflowers from @traderjoes… I put the butts of some of my very favorite ladies in the chairs surrounding… it was truly magical. kevin costner was on to something: if you build it, they WILL come. I look forward to so many more nights like this! ✨ thanks @lafemmeepicure and @lindsaysloaneyup for capturing it!

could not ask for a better one than this one… our girls and I are so lucky. being a parent is really hard, but you do it with so much love and goofiness and kindness and compassion (for all thee of us) so I know we’re going to be okay. and for that I am forever grateful. happy father’s day @markduplass and to all the father figures out there!
