About a month ago, Reactive Boy Exley decided he likes walks. Can still be excitable but I carry treats and we try to go at off hours. This isn’t exciting video but that is sort of the point 🤗.
They’re ones demanding breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day! (It’s past 9pm they don’t understand meal times or holidays)
Bram being helpful, especially in testing the load tolerance of the new standing desk. It’s mounted onto studs so… should be fine(?)… fuzzy rug thing is actually a dog bed but works great as a cover for the walking pad-slash-soft thing to stand on. Still a few things left to the rehab and some details to attend to but already feels great to be working in here.

Our celebration of freedom has always been made in contradiction to the facts on the ground. Today, Americans face the loss of reproductive autonomy that would set us back further than the abortion rights enjoyed during the time of the Founders (look it up!). Trump and the Republican Party *have a plan* to institute changes that would effectively lead to a national abortion ban: Repealing the right to mail birth control, the abortion pill, and abortion-related medical equipment across state lines; instituting fetal personhood laws that would end IVF procedures; narrowing to the point elimination all exceptions to abortion. These are uniquely unpopular positions, even among Republicans. So, please, talk about them with your friends and family. Show them the articles about Project 2025, authored by Trump allies, laying out these very plans. Tell them about the tens of thousands rape survivors who have been forced to give birth since Dobbs fell, how infant and maternal mortality has increased in its wake, tell them about the women forced to go to term with lifeless fetuses, or endure pregnancies that threaten their own lives. These stories and statistics are too easy to find. Against any objection to Biden — his frailty, the economy, Israel-Gaza, conspiratorial charges of corruption — there is one response: A future in which countless women will die — or, at best, be thrown into despair and lives of dependency and desperation. I believe we can triumph if we are not afraid to talk about what happens if we lose.
