It doesn’t seem possible but in 18 months, I’m going to turn 50!
I’m quite excited about it and I’m using it as motivation to really begin taking great care of myself. I want to be the fittest, strongest, healthiest, happiest and most confident and well-balanced version of myself that I can be. Not much to ask… 😆
I’ve spoken before about loving and accepting ourselves, not trying to be perfect. That doesn’t mean I can’t strive to improve those things that are in my control. I feel that taking care of yourself with good nutrition, sleep, skincare, exercise and self care is all part of truly loving yourself.

Let’s talk about Peri Menopause! 😳 6 months ago I was barely struggling through each day. For years I’ve had my suspicions that my symptoms were due to hormonal changes, but it’s only thanks to people talking about it on Instagram, that I became certain. Let’s be more open about it. It’s a normal thing that happens to virtually all women at some point. The most difficult part for me was getting the help I needed, because I was overwhelmed and not coping at all. Daily crying spells, rage, zero stress resilience became the norm. I eventually took the step of seeing a specialist because I just couldn’t go on like that and my mood was instantly transformed. 20 years ago, my life changed. A cute little pizzeria in Almuñecar was where Jon and I went on our first date.
Fast forward 20 years, and I still consider myself incredibly lucky to have such a supportive, loving husband, who is also an amazing, hands-on daddy to our children. OK, he still can’t load the dishwasher the way I like 😆 but I’ll forgive him for that.

Happy Friday everyone! We’ve had a marvellous week filming in beautiful, unspoilt inland Malaga this week. Have you ever ventured this far from the coast in Spain?
Plus a tremendous result for my Househunters. I don’t think I’ve ever had such an emotional episode!!! 😭
On a side note, I almost always wear heels, but this week I’m in flats! I’ve discovered these sandals, they have a copper rivet in the bottom for “grounding”, healing stones, (in this case, Chrysoprase for detoxification) and they’re vegan leather made from recycled ocean plastics!!!
Right up my street, I’m just a hippy at heart! 🌻 so just wanted to give @rokhz_official a little shout out as I love supporting businesses which share my ethics!

It’s summer and we’re turning the kitchen into our very own ice cream parlour! A D🍦☀️ My favourite ice cream to make at home is my no churn, dairy free Jerte Valley Picota cherry & dark chocolate ice cream. It’s so quick & easy the kids can get involved too! Let me know in the comments or tag me if you try this ✨ Recipe & method below 👇 🍒Jerte Valley Picota Cherry & chocolate Ice Cream🍒 • 110 grams soaked cashews • 400ml coconut milk • 150g Picota cherries • 1.5 tbsp vanilla paste or extract • 2.5 tbsp agave syrup • Pinch salt • 25g dark chocolate * Soak the cashews for a minimum of 20 minutes in boiled water. * pre-heat your oven to 200° * For the ice cream base, put all the ingredients apart from the cherries & chocolate into a blender until smooth. * Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze for 1-2 hours. * While the ingredients are freezing, bake the cherries for around half an hour, or until soft, and juicy. * allow to cool, then remove the stones and chop. * Roughly chop the chocolate into chips. * Once the ice cream mix is firm, put back into the blender for extra creaminess. * For a chunky finish, combine the chopped cherries and chocolate (setting some aside for topping) after blending, and transfer to a tray. * freeze for 1 more hour and there you have easy, dairy free Picota cherry ice cream perfect for summer! * serve topped with picota cherries and dark chocolate shavings. @picotacherrieseu #picotacherries #pickapicota #pickapicotaweek #dairyfree #icecream #nationalicecreamday
