Pretty happy with that #hugginshill potato haul. Reckon even @cfassnidge would approve. 😂Loads of sweet potatoes too. They are drying in my beekeeping hut to allow their starch to turn sweet. I have heaps more s/p and brassicas to collect tomorrow. Plus loads of other veggies. It’s a fun weekend to play in my veggie garden after neglecting it for several weeks. I’m definitely playing catch up, and I need to start getting many of my beds ready for seedlings again. But @sweeetsy is up visiting for the weekend so I’m torn between hanging and chatting with him and @toddyhuggins, trying to win a point off Jess in tennis, and doing my veggie garden chores! The struggle is real. 😂😂😂 But wherever I am, I can’t put down my copy of #sofra by @sundaykitchenau It’s just such a beautiful read, and I can’t wait to use all this produce making so many of the recipes. You are so clever Sivine and Karima ❤️❤️❤️@toddyhuggins #hugginshill @bhgaus

What a dream day for work I got to enjoy recently for this Friday’s episode of @bhgaus catching up with the incredibly talented duo of Dylan Abdoo and Troy Rhoades-Brown. Dylan is the brains behind @newcastlegreens which is a specialty farm that grows edible flowers, rare leaves and heirloom vegetables for many of the NSW’s leading restaurants including the two hatted @muserestaurant_ at Hungerford Hill winery in Polkobin which is the baby of @troymuse Both men are chefs who share a huge passion for growing veggies, and then using local produce in the most spectacular way. Listening to the respect they have for one another was so nice. Troy has grown Muse into a special occasion destination, (its had 2 hats for the last 9 years now) that foodies travel hours to experience. Tonight he shares some of the secrets he uses to make plating up look like a gastronomical work of art, and tells us why he dearly loves this part of the world. The best part of working on Better Homes and Gardens is speaking to people from all walks of life that are dearly passionate about what they do and tonight we have that in spades. #betterhomesandgardens #newcastlegreens #muserestaurant #dannyAbdoo #troyrhoadesbrown

I cannot wait for you to get to know Sally Rippin on Better Homes and Gardens tonight. Sally is Australia’s Children’s Laureate – which means for 2 years she is the national Ambassador for Reading. Actually – that’s underselling the honour – it’s like being named ‘Australian Of the Year’ for Authors. Her personal mission as Laureate is to drive home that ‘All Kids Can Be Readers – but that it’s ok if they access stories in lots of different ways…. From picture books, audio books, comic books, braille or through novels. She is Australia’s highest selling female Author who has written over 100 books for Children and Young Adults. If you have any children, nieces or nephews or know your friend’s children or grandchildren, I guarantee you they would know her ‘Billie Brown’ or ‘Hey Jack’ series. Sally and I went and visited a school in Melbourne and she was greeted by the children as an absolute rock star! They all knew her, and could name many of her book series. Watching Sally chat with ease with the children, and the way she unlocked their imaginations was pure joy to witness. This woman is an absolute gem, and she is passionate about the work she is doing as an Author and as our National Laureate. I really hope you enjoy getting to know her on tonight’s show. A huge thank you to Kristin Darell and Justine Burton for helping us co-ordinate this story. ❤️❤️❤️ @bhgaus @sallyrippinauthor @ozchildrenslaureate @krisddarell @justineburton73
