Brilliant day celebrating Todd’s Uncle George’s 90th Birthday. What a beautiful life you and Beverley have created. To see all your family, friends, kids, grandkids and many of the great-grandkids in the room was so, so special. We loved all of the speeches so much. Thank you for the kindness you have always shown Todd. The bonus was getting to spend time with Todd’s beautiful sister Kara and her darling Drew today, who flew in from the Sunshine Coast for the day. It wasn’t nearly long enough. ❤️❤️❤️ #90thbirthday #stillsharpasatack #family
Solid weekend playing catch up in the veggie patch, and pulling up lots of weeds. Can’t believe I was still taking eggplants, capsicum, and tomatoes out in abundance. Have revitalised and planted out the remaining beds for Winter crops. It’s finally starting to get cold at night which I’m loving. Still have the back patch and surrounds to get under control but baby steps…x #hugginshill #veggiepatch #growyourown #preserving #wormticklersnursery #wormticklersseedlings #bunnings

Bigger isn’t always better! While Aussie homes are some of the largest in the world, Bryan and Marija decided to do things differently, by right-sizing. They’ve built a beautiful, smaller home perfect for retirement, with fewer bills and the chance to stay in the neighbourhood they love. Johanna is catching up with them to find out why right-sizing could be the way of the future. Catch this story on Friday at 7pm on @channel7 and @7twoau @johgriggs7 @austinmaynardarchitects #amazinghome #architecture #interiordesign
Tonight on Better Homes and Gardens we meet Bryan and Marija who decided to build their dream house that was the ‘Right Size’ for them. They subdivided their original property which was on a skinny 50m long block and turned to Austin Maynard Architects, whose work they had long admired, to pack whole lot in on a footprint that is just over 130Sqm. Also joining us tonight is Claire Ward from A.M.A who does a wonderful job showing us all the incredible detail and architectural nous they used to achieve everything Bryan and Maria were hoping for. Whilst the home is small, it definitely doesn’t feel that way. It’s light, roomy, has wonderful cross ventilation, fantastic flexibility in its design, and great connectivity through spaces that you can either open up or shut down. Included in the design is a large kitchen and dining area that is able to accomodate 20 plus people for their regular family and friend catch ups, a bathroom on both levels, a concealed laundry and pantry, 2 bedrooms plus an art studio for Maria’s artwork. Bryan is an award winning authority on staircases with 50 years experience in his field. He actually founded ‘Enzie Staircases’ so not surprisingly – a glorious bright yellow spiral staircase in perforated steel takes pride of place in the home. There is so much to love about this very clever design. I hope you enjoy having a look through as much as I did. #betterhomesandgardens #amazinghomes #amazingarchitecture @bhgaus #austinmaynardarchitects #fitzroynorth @austinmaynardarchitects @claireeward_

This Mother’s Day why don’t you help celebrate your mum whilst helping out a new one???? Across Australia, 1 in 5 babies born require admission to a Special Care Nursery or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in hospital. For many new mums, watching their baby fight for life in a humidicrib is a heartbreaking challenge. A hospital grade breast pump becomes vital when physical contact isn’t possible. This year the @humptydumptyfoundation currently has 30 Australian Hospitals and health services who have contacted us, all needing hospital-grade Breast Pumps. Just two weeks ago when I was travelling through the NT for Humpty, (without prompting) Heads of Neonatal Units and various nurses told me this piece of equipment would make an extraordinary difference to the babies and families in their care, and also to their staff. We also have hospitals and health services in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia who have all reached out with the same request. If you are able to, head to Humpty.org.au/pumpedforlife to make a donation. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ #humptydumptyfoundation #pumpedforlife #mothersdayappeal2025
One of the best parts of being Patron of the @humptydumptyfoundation is getting to travel around Australia with Humpty Founder Paul Francis, visiting Hospitals and Health Centres and seeing the vital and often lifesaving equipment donated by our wonderful Humpty Supporters in action. This past week we headed off on a road trip to Bathurst and Orange Hospitals, where we met with the most incredible, passionate, dedicated Doctors, Nurses and Staff who shared their experiences with us. They were so generous with their knowledge and time. Often, they are working in challenging circumstances but their care for one another, their patients and their local community is second to none. A real thrill for us was meeting Kim Holt in Orange. Her family are phenomenal supporters of Humpty in both the NT, and now in Kim’s hometown in the Central West. She got to hear first hand how the Humidifier and Monitor they’d donated will enhance the way babies and children will be treated in Orange Hospital to give them the best possible health outcomes. A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed us so warmly, and to NSW Health Minister @ryanparkmp for helping making the trip so smooth. We’d also like to thank @suttonsarncliffe for our gorgeous Humpty vehicle. Paul and I had a ball! cant wait for the next adventure ❤️
Last week’s @beyondblueofficial webinar on ‘Menopause and Mental Health’ was absolutely fantastic to be part of. Our incredibly warm, passionate, articulate and knowledgeable panel of guests made it pure joy to listen to. It was so informative. Huge thank you to our fabulous team at Beyond Blue for making it happen. And thank you to @myfwarhurst Professor Jayashri Kulkarni from @hercentreaustralia and Dr Sarah White – the CEO of @jeanhailes for being so generous with all that you shared. If you missed it – I’ve put the link to the You Tube recording in my bio. Please feel free to share it far and wide…x
