🚨 23-year-old #MohammadGhobadloo is at imminent risk of execution for protesting #MahsaAmini’s killing in 2022. He has been charged with “corruption on earth” in a sham trial by the Islamic Republic authorities.
According to Mohammad’s lawyer Amir Raisian, his execution is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Please spread widely and call on all human rights activists, organizations and multinational institutions to intervene to save him and all other innocents at risk of execution by this totalitarian regime.

🚨Prominent, jailed Iranian dissident #FatemehSepehri, along with her brothers Hossein and Mohammad Hossein, have been sentenced by the Mashhad Revolutionary Court to a combined total of 32 years in prison, on senseless and draconian “national security” charges. Ms. Sepehri is ailing and has already been in prison for over a year, including in solitary confinement, and was quickly returned to prison after having open heart surgery. Her new sentence adds an additional 18 years to her previous one. Her courage in calling for an end to the Islamic Republic even while in their custody, is awe inspiring. I joined international jurists and human rights defenders in signing onto a joint letter and underlying legal brief urging States to include the crime of gender apartheid in the draft crimes against humanity (CAH) treaty. Women and girls who live under the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic in Iran are battling extreme, institutionalized and systematized gender-based oppression and domination. This treatment has a name: gender apartheid. The UN General Assembly’s Sixth Committee (Legal) is scheduled to debate the proposed CAH treaty in October. Member States have the choice to recognize the CAH of gender apartheid in the treaty. Codifying this crime will provide the international community with the necessary tools to mobilize against apartheid regimes and hold perpetrators of gender apartheid accountable.
