Kimberley Crossman Instagram – I’ve been incredibly lucky to spend a lot of time on the Great Barrier Reef 🪸🌊 since my dad moved to Port Douglas in Far North Queensland about 20 years ago. Over the years, I fell in love with the reef and the feeling of being underwater, exploring its magic. That love influenced the trajectory of my life and my passion for further education in the marine biology world 🐠💙
When I met Tom, I had recently earned my PADI certification, and he showed interest in learning to dive too 🤿💑. Since then, it’s been on my bucket list to take him to the GBR to share that experience. Thanks to the epic @poseidoncruise_ team (who I always dive with), we finally made it happen!
As a family—Tom, Louie, my dad, and I—we snorkeled and dove at three breathtaking locations 😍. We saw white-tipped reef sharks 🦈, lionfish 🐡, stunning coral formations 🌺, and schools of vibrant fish. It was a dream come true, and we created a core memory together 💖.
Seeing Louie learn to dive with his snorkel in the open ocean and having my dad join us too is something I’ll treasure forever 🥹💙.
If you ever have the chance to visit the reef, I highly recommend it! It’s unlike any other underwater experience I’ve had, and the team at Poseidon truly elevates the experience with their incredible marine biologists and dive experts 🌊✨.
