It’s World Wildlife Day today, which gives me a good excuse to post this pic taken just as Pash was getting bitten by ants when we were in India a few years back! 😆🫣 You’re supposed to tell wildlife conservation success stories today, so it made me think of our first nature trip together, which sparked a whole load of others and is pretty much our favourite way to spend our time. Back in 2016 we went to Brazil, and one of the highlights was visiting the Onçafari jaguar conservation project in the world’s largest wetlands – The Pantanal. It was in its infancy then, conservationists had visited Africa, and brought techniques back like staking (already killed in nature) prey out in open spaces vs dense forest, so tourists have more chance of spotting cats returning to the carcass to eat at nightfall, in order to boost eco tourism, collecting data showing jags weren’t the culprits eating cattle, and generally that jaguars are more valuable alive, than dead. As is so much in life, the financial arguments often have more sway than anything else. Since then we’ve been to The Galapagos, Napo Valley in the Amazon Basin, Sri Lanka, India, The Maldives and can honestly say wildlife trips are where our happiest memories are. Hopefully more trips to follow when the kids are a bit bigger! (Any suggestions on where and when with them for future are much appreciated!) PS sorry for the terrible home videos at the end (Pantanal capybaras, jaguar, giant anteater), I’ve definitely not missed my calling as a wildlife camerawoman but happy memories nonetheless! #wildlife #conservation #ecotourism

Easily the filthiest 30 seconds 8/10 Cats Does Countdown has ever made. And that’s saying something 😳😳😳😳😳🤣🫣
Kidnapped from their beds aged 9 months and 4 years, today baby Kfir, little Ariel, their mother Shiri Bibas and an 85 year old grandfather Oded Lifshitz were returned in coffins with keys that didn’t work, after a Hamas ceremony with celebratory music for the crowds. After 503 days. Love and strength to all who need it today. You are not alone. 🧡💔 Updated just after 11pm UK time, it was announced the babies’ bodies have been positively identified but the female body is an unidentified woman, not matching their mother or any other known hostage. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse.
Now the kids are well back to school I wanted to give a shout out to a brilliant initiative I saw at the end of last year, which uses darts to help kids with their maths and numeracy! In December I went to Ally Pally to see @officialpdc’s Bullseye Maths in action, and I thoroughly recommend it to any teachers or parents who want to get their kids practising in a fun and engaging way! In one short lesson they covered number bonds, 2 and 3 times tables, addition, subtraction, intro to solving equations/algebra, probably mostly without even realising. The kids all seemed to be having a great time and getting involved throwing the darts and working out the sums, a couple of girls even managed to hit the bull while they were at it! 🎯🤩 Here’s a link for more info and resources (for free) https://www.pdc.tv/maths Separate to that but there to support was pro darts player @imthedevonpetersen369 who’s made his own darts based maths resources for kids (my little ones have enjoyed and benefitted the magnetic darts board and number tiles, but older ones would get more out of the additional -x/ challenge packs and app too). Also great to see @kirk.bevins there supporting – Kirk was my first ever series champion when I started Countdown and he’s now an incredible darts referee (so he really knows his numbers!). It’s my firm belief that making maths fun and relevant is key to engagement and success in it, other things along these lines are the Premier League Primary Stars football based (free) resources for schools that I helped to develop, the brilliant @national_numeracy charity and their (free) maths challenge, and I also shoved loads of real world fun maths into my new Rachel Riley’s Maths Magic Clever Tonie @tonies_uk (#ad) for 5 year olds. #maths #teaching #mathsfun #darts

Always happy to share with these ones! 😍 My Zeida (grandad) always used to send us Valentine’s Day cards, and us to him. He would have loved cards from these little chickens. To all those we’ve loved and lost 💗💗💗💗💗 #valentines #fatherdaughter #noodles #love
Best of luck to @tomrocksmaths for the next few weeks on Countdown! Dr Tom will be keeping my numbers warm from Monday for the next 3 weeks whilst I’m away. I had a good excuse, I’ll tell you more soon 😜 We’re both Oxford maths geeks and ambassadors for @national_numeracy so you’ll barely notice the difference. Have fun Tom, and all our lovely viewers, have fun watching! 😊💗
Any fans of ‘Inside Four Seasons, Park Lane’ on @channel5 might spot some people you know on tonight’s show! We spent a gorgeous night at @fourseasons London, the little one disgraced herself with an unrepeatable quote caught on camera that we will only be sharing to embarrass her on her 18th, apart from that it was fabulous! 9pm tonight C5 🫠🫠🫠😂😂😂

Is this just a British thing? Literally the first sign of sun, we’re all outdoors in shorts and T-shirts having a drink on a terrace. It only got up to 10oC today but that could have been the peak of our summer, so we’ve learnt to make the most of it. 💪🇬🇧🍻☀️☃️ #summer #weather #british
#Ad Aged 39 I’ve never had a full health assessment so I jumped at the chance to have my body given a full work up with Bupa to check for any hidden health suprises. It gave me instant reassurance for my heart health and cholesterol profile and firm figures and advice on my weak spots (mind the pun) – muscle strength and general fitness and most importantly how to improve them! I’ve got the app with my data, support, exercise classes and meditations all included to keep me on track with my new health goals and so much data on where my body is at now, for reference if anything changes in future. #KnowledgeIsPower #KnowYourNumbers
I went as a kid, Pash & the girls (3 & 5) have never done Disney so we learnt a lot in 4 days! So many recommendations, & a few things we wished we knew before we went… 😊 1. We stayed at the @disneynewportbayclub hotel – lovely, has a pool, a short walk through the Disney Village to the parks. Official hotels get you an hour early parks entry at 8.30 but you have to be tactical as most rides don’t open till 9.30. First morning we rushed to the Dumbo ride, second literally sprinted to Crush’s Coaster to avoid 80min lines otherwise 🤪 2. The 5.30pm parade every day was lovely, my 3yo wanted to see it every day, but after the first time my 5yo preferred the rides. The queues are much shorter while the parade’s on 3. Before the amazing fireworks (9pm every night) head to the Studios park next door. After 8pm most rides we wanted were closed in the main park, but the rides for the little ones had next to no queues in the Studios and most close at 9pm 4. The BEST tip was told to me by a lovely guy (thanks!) in the queue only on our last day (doh!) – the Parent Swap ticket. At the end of every ride if you’ve queued up with your child and partner is waiting with the little one, you can ask for a Parent Swap that allows the other parent to swap in without another long wait – life saver! 5. The app is amazing for showing queue times, parades, shows, food, preordering and buying upgrades – at €160 per person per day we didn’t buy the premium pass as our girls were too small to go on a lot and it didn’t include much of what they wanted to go on, but we did buy the guaranteed show tickets for Lion King & Pixar, which were amazing & def worth it for us 6. Great vegan options for food. Our faves were Billy Bob’s and Agrabah buffets. We took loads of snacks & weren’t sure how good the options would be but were pleasantly surprised. Menus are on the apps & @happycow reviews helped too. We wished we’d prebooked PYM and a Princess dining, pricy but in line with the rest of Disney offerings – next time we’ll know! 7. I bought up half of @vinted before we went. No surprise but the gift shop prices were $$$$$$ 8 . We took our @microscooters XL trikes, so much walking – godsend!

I’m so excited to again be taking part in this year’s @GrassrootSoccer Changemaker Cup – one of my favourite days of the year! We are looking for teams to take to the pitch @AFCWimbledon on 27th May to compete in the Cup and support Grassroot Soccer’s critical work improving adolescents’ health through the power of football.
