Going for my third spin around The Wheel, tonight Saturday 29th November on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8.05PM 🎥 There’s a different kind of nerves on this sort of quiz show as you’re playing to help other people win themselves some life changing money, not your own winnings for charity. Plus, this time both @elliesimmonds and I were on for the treble at the top of the leader board, no pressure then! 🫣🫣🫣 Loads of fun as always, see you there! @bbciplayer #MichaelMcIntyre #TheWheel #iPlayer Dress @hope_and_ivy Custom necklace #gifted @poshtottydesigns @hannah_cooper_

Fab night on hosting duties for the wonderful @grassrootsoccer gala – a charity that uses the power of football to provide vital healthcare advice and services to adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa. At a time when existing drugs can stop the spread of HIV and AIDS and you can live symptom-free, no child should be orphaned nor baby should be born with the disease. GRS’s programs using football as the fun, memorable hook, together with local trained coaches as mentors have a proven track record of success, reducing stigma, and providing vital info and care where it’s still much needed. Proud to have recently signed up as their UK board chair, now all I need to do is work out what that entails 😆🫣 Thanks to all who came along to support!

Paddington didn’t know what hit him when my two descended on him at the press launch for the new @paddingtonbearexperience on the Southbank – one poked him in the face whilst the other tried to teach him to do the splits (fair play to him giving that a go and being able to get back up!). We’ve been to a few of this type of experiences with varied success, one terrified the big one so much we made a swift exit, but this was perfectly judged and we loved it. The attention to detail on the sets was amazing, Paddington fans will love being in his house at Christmastime and my girls were completely enthralled with the interactive games and characters (they’re 4 and nearly 6). Thanks for having us Paddington, the marmalade sandwiches went down a treat! 😋🍊

Sent myself down a Vinted maths rabbit hole… Bundles discounts means that if there is a big difference in the prices of the items you’re selling, you could be giving actual huge price decreases for more items. Obviously the process isn’t legally binding so you can still cancel orders once they’re placed, but it almost defeats the point of this system and I bet plenty of busy people have been caught out not expecting this to be a thing! For non-Vinted-ers, sellers can set their own bundle discount incentives to encourage more purchases. In this example, the seller offers 10% off for 2 items, 20% for 3 and 30% when you buy 5, which means there’s an amount the extra items can cost up to that results in the discount actually decreasing the total price (maths geek details in final shot). I’ve found absolutely loads of accounts accidentally offering these discounts. A better system could be add a discount to the lower priced items so the total price never actually goes down. Anyway, pretty much all my kids’ wardrobes are from @vinted, love them but get your maths together 😆 #maths #badmaths #discounts #vinted #onlineshopping #mathsgeek
That’s it from us this weekend – thank you for partying with us and to all those who celebrate, Happy Purim! 🎉🤩🕺 #CelebrationKitchen #SaturdayKitchen
Last time we went on a family trip I let my kids pack their own clothes. They each chose 7 dresses – including 2 fairy costumes – for just one night away… and they didn’t wear most of it. Packing smarter saves you space and excess baggage fees, yet still gives you loads of options — by far the smartest thing you can pack is the Philips 5000 Series handheld steamer. It’s compact and heats up in just 35 seconds, making it perfect for de-wrinkling clothes — especially floaty linen numbers that are otherwise a nightmare to travel with. The 5000s can kill 99.9% of bacteria too, so you can feel confident that your outfit is extra clean and fresh, even if it’s been worn already. It even works on fairy costumes, just make sure to use it in eco mode on the wings! #ad @philipshomelivinguk
Hard the hard job today of joining a pizza party at @markwogan13’s absolutely delicious @homesliceldn pizzeria! Pasha and I were auctioned off as part of a prize, donated by Mark through his restaurant, in aid of @childrenwithcanceruk, and having been bought by Chris and Elaine, we all had a “pizza off” as to who could make the tastiest one. Naturally 13 year old Harry smashed us all, a worthy winner 👏👏👏 I wouldn’t exactly call it a chore to be taught by chef Kev how to work the pizza dough, create our own signature flavour (corn sauce, sweetcorn, vegan cheese, chilli flakes ie ‘The Cornstar Pizza’ for me) and then devour the lot, washed down with a couple of cocktails and an @suga.bakes brownie. Lovely company and so interesting as a foodie hearing about where all the ingredients are found and sourced and how others were created in house, especially all the vegan stuff we loved. Thanks for having us Chris, Elaine, Harry, Charlotte, David and Joe and for tagging us in Hiten, Mark and CwC. Every day, around 10 children and young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer, I know the money raised will go to helping them and their families and CwC won’t stop until all children have a good outcome and all treatment is kind. 🙏💕

JWA Shabbat is almost here and Rachel Riley is helping us spread the word. Domestic abuse doesn’t always look how we expect it to. It happens in every community, including ours. This JWA Shabbat, we’re asking everyone to take a moment around the table to open up conversations that could change – or even save – someone’s life. Whether you’re hosting a meal or simply sharing this message, you’re helping us stop the ripple effect of abuse. 💜 Download your free JWA Shabbat Pack at https://www.jwa.org.uk/shabbat25/ Thank you Rachel for standing with us and helping raise awareness. #JWAShabbat #jwashabbat2025 #StopTheRippleEffect #DomesticAbuseAwareness #CommunityMatters #RachelRiley
I’ve never found a Christmas lights I didn’t like yet but Blenheim Palace didn’t disappoint! My only regret – not taking our ride on scooters, it’s a long walk to be carrying the big sacks of potatoes our kids have turned into 😆 We missed the press night so went on a weeknight soon after opening and it was still relatively quiet so no queues for the Christmas market, Victorian style fun fair or food stalls (hot dogs and “duck” wraps for the vegans). The kids were in awe, loved meeting the real Dorothy and Santa along the way and watched the Frozen themed fountain lights display 4 times through – I’m sure will remember that for a long time. We’ve now done Kew Gardens, Waddesdon Manor and Blenheim Palace – where else are you recommending, I’m all ears! Thanks for having us Blenheim! 🎅🏽🎄 #gifted
Listen up, men! This one’s for you. We spoke to experts Cathy Press, Bernie Bernard, and Paula Devaux about why it’s important that men speak up about misogyny and violence against women to other men, as it’s a pandemic-sized problem that men are in control of fixing. The 16 Days of Action for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls runs from 25th Nov to 10th Dec. Awareness Matters is following these 16 Days with our own campaign: The Reality of Misogyny. We’re calling attention to the pervasiveness of misogyny, its impact, and what we can actively do to challenge it. Awareness Matters delivers domestic abuse training for all those working with victims and survivors of domestic violence and coercive control.
