Good little Jimmy Grant. #LesNorton on @netflixanz Side note – this awesome Aussie show – based on the books of Robert G. Barret – is set in the 80s, the decade my parents first came to Australia – before I was born on Noongar land. Before we shot, I sat with the makers of the show (as I always do) and made Georgie real. Talking about the fact that my mum actually existed in Australia at that time (although she was def not a bookie 😂) and the fact that there was a version of Georgie’s fictionalised late father in the show (who would have arrived in the wave of Anglo Indian migrants in the late 60s) who also existed in my world as a real person. Georgie was the child of an immigrant – and she was an unadulterated Aussie.

No amount of reminiscing will ever be enough. Happy 3 my family! #WeddingSeason 💕 …. on @netflix And yes that’s a bandage on my ankle in slide 5. It’s a picture taken on our last night of shoot. I sprained my ankle running through the wedding to find Priya in the closet (lolz) – NOT during the dance sequence which had luckily wrapped the day before the ankle roll – and spent the last days of shoot (the office set/failed speech/good speech/gallery) hobbling & dolly-riding. The only silver lining was that Suraj who was reeling from losing to me in a soccer match could not waste my time by trying to exact revenge. Basically I am UNCO unless I’m dancing – or beating Suraj at soccer.
