Going through a tough time. I haven’t shared any of it because she was the one place and so it just hit us tonight out of nowhere that my son’s godmother, his rock who never missed one day of his life……is really gone. We feel completely alone without @suzannewhang I’m stepping out of things for a while to grieve & to focus also on physical health issues too that are long overdue. I’m forever grateful for the consistency in showing up & the truth my best friend gave to my son. She delivered with humor & brave emotional vulnerability. She redefined acceptance, laughter, celebration & ferocious loyalty against all odds. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to be fully wrapped in such a love completely devoid of judgment. I miss you bunny. Please send me a sign

I’ve never been so bombarded with love & so many DM’s asking about Dame Judy (Guapa) This photo is the last time I saw her. After considering several others, MC and I did a home visit and met the whole family. Her mom Megan met me at this park a week later to take The Guap home. I went early to sit with Dame Judy and explain to her everything that was happening. She looked so calm & excited. We found the most magical furever home for her. She has two frenchie siblings (one with special needs, two human brothers and a mom and dad! Her supermodel career mom goes above and beyond to look out for her and Dame Judy has a grandma too!!!!! They enjoy going to the park and the beach! Judy is getting her own wetsuit I hear to protect her delicate skin. 😎 I’ll continue to share updates when I can. RIP 🙏🏽 Mike, devastated to lose you so young. You were a ferociously talented artist. Tebori Japanese tapping Tattoo OG. Your stories of studying in Japan and the art on your walls of your home in Hawaii. Your masterful work that hangs in museums. The only man MC would let do a 15 hour massive “trust me”FREEHAND piece straight through in ONE sitting. I was filming Hawaii 50 & Scotty Caan sent MC to “Only use Mike Ledger” 😭 When I showed up after work that night, I couldn’t believe you two were still working and so I played with your beloved son. A single dad with a story of giving up Hollywood/NYC/Japan and being flown private all over the world to tattoo rock stars to give your son a better, quiet, simple life. A peaceful one. It’s then that I realized where your heart songs were channeled from through your hands and onto our bodies. All of us lucky enough to carry your art on our skin. Being a single father was your life. After 15 hours straight of working on MC and helping him breathe through the pain you gently took hold of my hand & casually did this piece on my wrist with my son and MC’s initials intertwined signifying trust & our unwavering protection of our children together. The bond that connected all three of us as parents was the same. Willing to give up everything we have to give our kids a pure & simple life. A real life. Away from the spotlight. With joy & nature at its core. We were at war to protect our children’s innocence and we let you tattoo whatever you wanted on us both. Never asking what you were drawing. Fascinating trust. Who does that? We were just honored and we both jumped and the yes, that MF net did appear. We never regretted it and in fact we were planning our trip to come back for you to do more on MC & bringing the kids with us to Hawaii were it all began. You told us “Never ever give up” I can’t believe you are gone. We feel you with us. Forever honored to carry your art on our skin. We are reminded of you daily. When I was 15 me and my little brother reported our mother’s abuse, the courts ordered us back to her, and ordered transport agents to take us to forced reunification therapy with our mother, where we had to pretend the abuse never happened. She then moved us from CA to WA, and the judge didn’t allow us to contact our dad or family for 7 months. We escaped ran away, hid for a whole summer on the run and were eventually allowed to return to our dad. We are not the only ones who have been subjected to this type of harm by the courts, there are many others. My mission is to raise awareness around this issue and reform our broken family court system! I demand justice for myself and all the other children being harmed.
