You walked where they used to walk today Benji. Down the exact same path in the same stretch of water. They used to splash and swim just as you did today. Ollie also occasionally slipped on the same bit of embankment you cutely slipped on as you carefully made your way down. They to used to catch the leaves and sniff the grass. And the bench that Norman always had to climb over was there for you to. You walked where they used to walk today Benji, and I have a strong feeling Norman & Ollie walked the whole way right beside us ❤️
Had a free house today so instead of my usual rest day I made the most of it. Gorka wrote me a hyrox session just to see how I got on. Out of my comfort zone but cracked on. How i rated it below. ⬇️ I did 5 rounds. 1) 400m run. I hate running. I never run. so 2/10 2) 15 burpees. Not too bad, was kinda tough after the run by round 3. I’d say 6/10 3) 15 wall balls. I used 9kg because Gorka told me that’s the women’s weight 🙄 he’s since said “now when you do the 4kg it’ll be piece of piss for you” I enjoyed these until round 4 so I’m going to with 5/10. 4) 150m ski. This was fine, I can ski for days. 8/10 5) 1 minute farmers carry with KBs. I used the 24kgs. This was my favourite part as I could catch my breath and I’m used to lifting heavy stuff so 9/10 All in all, it wasn’t to bad. More challenging then I thought but doable (although round 5 kicked my ass!) 🤮 i can see why so many of you get the bug. 💪🏼

At age 40 these fictional characters still play a part in my life. Proof that what we’re exposed to as children can stay with us. I’m glad growing up we had movie nights with these type of characters. They genuinely helped shape how I view myself and my worth. I remember the very first PT I had back in my 20s asked me my goal. My reply was “arms like Sarah Connor from Terminator 2” Mission accomplished 💪🏼😏

The calm after the storm. Straight after yesterdays random session I stretched for around 20 mins. My go to movements to loosen my hips. Tight hips for me create lower back pain, hip flexor pain & groin pain. Not a good combo. I try and do this every night regardless of if I’ve trained. Even just 10 mins makes such a difference. In other words, I bend so that I don’t break 🧘♀️
