And now … Presenting … 29 BROADWAY LEGENDS For our annual Yesteryear issue, we asked these legendary performers to pose before Mark Seliger’s camera and revisit their most memorable roles. Their careers span an enormous length of time, through multiple Broadway eras. Some of their performances were career breakthroughs, turning working-stiff actors into above-the-title stars. Others were simply definitive, astonishing audiences or winning Tony Awards or creating a character that everyone knows to this day. All were roles these actors felt strongly about and were eager to recall. It’s likely the only time you’ll ever see most of them return to these characters. This portfolio is, like a memory of a night in a Broadway house, an artifact of a moment. Tap through our eight covers above, and then explore our #YesteryearIssue at the link in bio. Hey Kids, If I look puzzled to you in this pic, it’s ‘cuz I am! After years of being grateful for being acknowledged as an #EGOT, this popped up from #Billboard today! *Link in bio. Having my Grammy Legend Award makes me so happy—and it looks damn shiny on the shelf. When it was given, I was told it was a #Grammy for my lifetime of recorded music. Today, I was told that my friends #BarbraStreisand, and the late greats #JamesEarlJones, #HarryBelafonte, #QuincyJones and me, are in the “Honorary Class.” Well, I’ll take it! Great company! In the meantime, I don’t love competing with my fellow artists—however, at my age? Honey, if we win next year for the Cast Album of Drag: The Musical, I’ll feel warm, fuzzy, and wonderful between my… ears! The record drops on April 25, which is a happy birthday present to my sweet partner @jasonwintersgriot. Please get busy buying, voting, and loving this fabulous music. One great thing about producing? No need for hair and makeup! Catch up with you tomorrow. I love you all! P.S. Thanks, Paul Grein @paul_grein_article @Billboard
Kids! My darling and oh so handsome brother, Joey has a big birthday today! You are so loved! It was fun spending time with you this week honoring your birthday. I adore you baby…here’s to many, many more fun birthdays together! We celebrated with cake, delicious Italian food, more stars than you would be able to count and a fun surprise that is top secret for the moment! Our sister, Lorna is selling out concerts in London, which is why we weren’t all together. Beloved Lorna, our family princess, always remembers everyone’s birthday! Love, Love and More Love! Your Big Sister, Liza ♥️
Hi Kids! Happy Easter! Papa, Mama and me in Easter finery. I remember this pic! So grateful and so ready to hunt for eggs… soak up sunlight by my pool after a month of interviews, recording and producing the cast album of DRAG: The Musical, trading love on camera with majestic beauty RuPaul, who I love while being gifted a wonderful award. Shooting New York Magazine cover by @markseliger, collaborating with Tiffany and Co., genius and dear friend @christopheryoung as my collection of jewelry exhibitions are busy traveling… Beverly Hills, New York, Asia, Milan and well…just everywhere! Huddling with Emmy winning producer Sam Haskell, my once upon a time agent, more importantly beloved friend for decades and our tribe. All working on bringing my nearly finished book to the screen for Sam’s Magnolia Hill at Warner Brothers Discovery! Honey, I’m not retired! Just old! Today? Grabbing some chocolate, saying prayers and thanking you for showering me with love because I absolutely love each of you. 🐣 💋
For our annual #YesteryearIssue, we asked 29 Broadway legends to pose before Mark Seliger’s camera and revisit their most memorable roles. Even today, these actors evoke the energy they did decades ago. Explore the full issue at the link in our bio. Photos: @markseliger

This holiday weekend was unbelievable and I thank everyone for so much love. Working with Liza is an absolute dream! Having the honor of creating and choreographing for her again, this time on Ru Pauls Drag Race was yet another dream come true. I honestly had one of the best weeks of my life directing this epic moment for Liza, Ru and the absolutely brilliant team at Drag Race. I do have to pinch myself sometimes- being the little boy from Liverpool Australia, who as an adult lives in Hollywood and has the honor of working with Hollywood icons including my beautiful friend @officiallizaminnelli Believe me, I don’t take any of it for granted, I work my absolute a— off, and I am very blessed. Magical Experiences like these are what dreams are made of and what my life is all about. A lot of people to thank here! Liza, Ru, Jamal Sims, @michaelfeinsteinsings @jasonwintersgriot Dr Lawrence Piro, Carrberry Companies, Lisa, Elia and many many more! #blessed #hollywood #dragrace #rupaul #liza #life #love
