Life has been wonderfully ( and sometimes not so wonderfully) intense lately. I have been too busy to think about posting lately but today I’m going for it. The good and the bad. The good massively out weighs the bad, especially two little new babies in our life named Sonny and Tove. They are incredible blessings and we are so grateful to be a part of their little tribes. Because Ted’s show is so wonderful, and Ted in it, we ended up going to lots awards shows, including one where he received The Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globes Gala. Sitting next to one of my comedy heroes was just so meaningful to me. She is as magnificent as you think she might be. Last night at the SAG Awards Ted didn’t win but we had an amazing evening anyway. Part of the thrill was sitting next to my dear friend, Jane Fonda, and being blown away by her beautiful acceptance speech for her lifetime achievement award. I have a shot of the Palisades Fire that I took on the day it broke out- though we were more fortunate than a lot of people, it caused so much pain and heartbreak to so many, and Ted and I are trying to do what we can to help our city that we love. The chocolate cake is an old favorite recipe and I made it for my granddaughter’s 13th birthday. There is a picture of myself and my Aunt Freda taken at her 100th birthday bash that we all threw for her in Arkansas. It’s been a crazy beginning of 2025! #blessed Hair @davestanwell, Makeup @lorencanbymakeup, Styling @katwaslike, SAG Dress & Jewelry @lever_couture @beladorajewelry, Golden Globes Gala Dress & Jewelry @moniquelhuillierofficial @anitakojewelry

A huge thank you to everyone involved for the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre Gala in NYC at the Tavern on the Green last week. I was honored to be one of the two recipients of the first Sanford Meisner Award, and the other going to my longtime friend, Pamela Moller. Sandy was my teacher and a huge inspiration to me as a young actor and still is to this day. I love the award, which represents the Playhouse’s red door. I still get emotional every time I walk through it at 340 east 54th street. I will treasure this award, memories of Sandy and the Playhouse and that beautiful Gala night always. @pamelamollerkareman Matt McCoy Diane Lane

Something very thrilling in my life is happening that I want to share!! A few years ago, songwriters Caitlyn Smith and Kate York joined me to write a song for an upcoming film called Wild Rose. The film told the story of a Scottish woman who dreamt of being a Nashville singer-songwriter. This beautiful film by writer Nicole Taylor has been made into a stage musical, book also written by Nicole, directed by the great John Tiffany and it’s about to premier at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dolly Parton, Chris Stapleton, Winona Judd, Carrie Underwood and Patty Griffin also have songs in the musical. Our song, Glasgow, No Place Like Home, was a joy to write, and even brought us the immense honor of tying with Sir Elton John for the Critic’s Choice Award! And now, a musical!!Break a leg to the extraordinary cast of Wild Rose on your opening night, March 14, in Edinburgh! And here is a little tease of the glorious Dawn Sievewright, as Rose, singing a bit of our song, Glasgow. Congratulations team @nicoletaylor @fayeejward @caitlynsmith @kateyork @fablepics @patdaly1 @wildrosemusical @lyceumedinburgh #WildRoseMusical #CountryMusic
