It’s Earth Day 🌏
Earth day was founded in 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson in the hope of making the environment a political issue. Today we have a number of environmental laws in place but we have a long way to go.
To remind us of the huge challenge we face, I share with you the art of Zaria Forman who documents climate change with pastel drawings.

The inspiration for Zaria Forman’s drawings began in early childhood when she traveled with her family throughout several of the world’s most remote landscapes, which were the subject of her mother’s fine art photography.
Her works have been in publications such as Juxtapoz Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, Huffington Post, and the Smithsonian Magazine.
In August 2012, Forman led Chasing the Light, an expedition sailing up the coast of Greenland, retracing the 1869 journey of American painter William Bradford and documenting the rapidly changing arctic landscape. Continuing to address climate change in her work, Forman traveled multiple times to the Maldives, the lowest-lying country in the world, and arguably the most vulnerable to rising sea levels.

#TheSovereignAsianArtGala in #HongKong was quite frankly so much more authentic, fun and less stuffy than a lot of Charity Galas I’ve been to over the years- and making art and art based therapies available to kids all across Hong Kong is a cause worth supporting. The art on auction was remarkable – particularly liked one Amritah Sen piece we bid on- and good old Canadian boy @cardiffcraig brought everyone’s heart out with a specially composed song 🙏🏼 thanks dear friend @davidknightlegg for having us!

Arrrived yesterday for a sacred tea ceremony with the amazing @spiralspaces, a gastronomic plant based feast at#shaktirestaurant and rejuvenating therapies @fivelementsretreats new spa, bringing the essence to Bali to a new home in #SaiKung – all tucked behind the new HK Golf and tennis academy.
Thank you Resham and thank you @lahrat and @chiccotatriele for bringing this space for sacredness and healing and fun to HK 🙏🏼 I am over the moon to discover this sanctuary for the mind, spirit and body in #SaiKung with transformational therapies like #Watsu – the ONLY Watsu pool in Hong Kong. I had a very deep session with @michaelwatsu and I can’t recommend this aqua therapy more…
