The science of soil-less gardening is called hydroponics. It basically involves growing healthy plants without the use of a traditional soil medium by using a nutrient like a mineral-rich water solution instead.Β A plant just needs select nutrients, some water, and sunlight to grow. And just like that we have bok choy, mint, lettuce, kale, basil, and so many more greens to devour. Very few things feel as wonderful as seeing your passion come to fruition.

In the Winter season, our joints and limbs need a little extra attention. Itβs important now more than ever because, for most of us, physical activity has dropped considerably. I canβt emphasise enough on the role Yoga plays in helping us stay healthy and agile. This morning, I got back to my routine and started my day with the Eka Pada Baddha Padma Vrikshasana. It is excellent for strengthening the ankles, calves, thighs, glutes, and spine. It also improves balance, flexibility of the knees & ankles, and helps improve concentration. It never ceases to amaze me how Yoga focusses on the entire body simultaneously. Tag a friend who you think should make Yoga a way of life π§π»ββοΈ π§π»ββοΈ

Connecting with nature and rejuvenating thoroughly was my only goal on this recent trip to Goa. Inhaling clean air and letting out all kinds of pent up stress is quite liberating. Add a little fitness routine to it, and youβre all set for the day ahead. This particular routine involved rolling down and coming back up in deep squats, followed by kneeling to come back into deep squats. It not only helps strengthen the glutes, quads, & core; but also improves oneβs range of motion, breathing deeply & digestive health. For those interested in doing so, this routine effectively helps improve the bodyβs athletic performance! People with lower back problems should not attempt this.

Issues stemming from acidity & indigestion have increased immensely due to erratic eating habits and high stress levels. One of the easiest solutions to tackling these problems is consuming the Carom-Cumin-Fennel Seeds drink (CCF) regularly. I swear by this concoction! All you have to do is lightly roast equal parts of all three seeds, grind them to a fine powder, and store it in an airtight container. To consume it, add a teaspoon of this mixture to a glass water with a dash of lemon in it. Itβs beneficial and effective!
