Ass update- I haven’t worked out in almost two weeks but I have @scottloganflex scheduled for today so I’m already mind fucking myself & trying to come up with excuses to cancel. Here’s what my brain came up with so far…I’m so upset today. Upset stomach, dealing with fucking internal work regarding people pleasing, relationships and the ongoing work of setting healthy boundaries and then (because I’m a woman) feeling like my boundaries are being turned into “you are difficult” or you are “too tough” even while I state my boundaries calmly & kindly. God forbid I get upset at all while setting them even when there is pushback and/or manipulation. You better be like a female Buddha or male fragility will label you a “bitch” In the meantime…. I feel as if I watch men set boundaries for themselves quite bluntly and get labeled strong and smart. A man who “knows what he wants” Even in our evolving society I still feel the labels put on women and how much we have to go out of our way to not celebrate ourselves TOO much and to be overly kind and calm lest we be called crazy…. In the meantime our men, even our good ones, simply go to work or feed the dog and we act like they are saints even though we do that shit and 100 other things on the daily. Am I just pmsing? 😜 Should I cancel Scott? In answer to all of your questions regarding “female competition?” This is my best friend of 20 years. @kymberly_marciano She’s a model, accomplished business woman, gifted photographer, magazine owner, philanthropist & mother of three. Bottom line is that she is one, beautiful, fancy, talented, successful, badass bitch with a heart of gold. How did we meet? WORKING TOGETHER. I’ve worked on MANY sets from 300 million dollar movies to 30 seat playhouses with zero budget. I’ve worked at #McDonalds & I’ve been on prime time shows for years with LEGIT supermodels as co stars. Hell, I’m still best friends with my smart, tall, gorgeous high school girlfriends. 😝SO…@kymberly_marciano and I worked on set together 20 YEARS AGO….A short Mexican girl from a bad neighborhood & a tall blonde from Laguna Beach, yet SHE was the one in the hospital room with me when my son was born….. I’m still friends with almost every woman I’ve ever worked with from producers to crew members. Women are the heart of our planet…. Not all women have been living in a competitive world. I’m only speaking of my own experience and it is our job as decent human beings to LISTEN to each other. I love women. I was raised in this industry working for women producers, directors and with female co stars & crew of all ages & every level of success who created an atmosphere of support, help & celebration of each other. I have, 99 percent of the time felt love, admiration & community among women. The very few times I haven’t felt this support & professionalism among other women. I LEFT. We are who we surround ourselves with and we always have the choice to leave the party. Always. I stand with all honest, grown up, self reflective women. We all make mistakes but it is only those of us who can be honest about our shortcomings and apologize that are offered peace and grace in this life. Search your heart for the truth and reach out to women who don’t look like you, especially if you are raising children. They are watching us & they will copy us. Join us in this powerful tribe. Ass update- didn’t workout for 12 years, started, stopped, started and I’ll stop again. I love my body either way. I celebrate my body at every size & shape. That’s 100 from never cancelling my “inside” work apts with my therapist. Same therapist for 30 years and my son sees her too. Change your brain, destroy old family tapes you’ve been telling yourself and the body love will follow but in the meantime…I’m sore AF but didn’t cancel this week cause honestly…haters got me pumped.
