Cheers to life 🥂 5,7 ton Co2 was my 2022 carbon footprint. I used WWF´s calculator. Way above a sustainable 🦶🏻. Being an athlete, for sure challenges my vision of how I want to live, accordingly to my values in how to live sustainable. But I have chosen to live this way and I will make the best out of it. We will continue to plan our travels accordingly, to reduce ✈️ as much as possible. If I didn’t work with brands who shared my visions, I´m pretty sure I would have stopped travelling for races a few years ago, especially after our daughters where born. I’m lucky to live my passion and explore my own physical limits, climbing a mountain or running a race. For me the highest priority is to be a good role model for the girls, show them how freaking amazing nature is, connect them to nature, to that cycle of life, as that is for me the most important, we can do; to create a bond to nature, as that will make us take care of it in the way that each person can. So, don´t blame others who open up about their Co2 ( we athletes always get shit about this, as we do travel) don´t blame anyone, but if there´s some actors that can make impact it´s governments and large corporations. I believe in grassroots power and making good choices, that might inspire someone else to make a change, to stand up, to sign a sustainable petition or ask the local supermarket to add more organic, or to make a village compost, or a community garden or, carpool, to run commute to work, or chose being more plant based, buy less, buy second hand, plant a tree. The list is never ending. My 2023 promise is to the little extra at least 1/ week, it can be going plogga, collecting plastic from the sea, sign a petition for a good cause, or anything I mentioned above. 💚 5,7 ton Co2 was my 2022 carbon footprint. The first years we poured our souls into it and worked alot! I was studying up there, and Kilian lived there almost 1 year, both of us love the mountains up there, and wanted to show their beauty to other runners. Tge last editions we have not been the organizers due to to many other obligations but the soul of the race is the same ❤️2023 will be the last edition- so if you want to experience the race- go for it! 2014 @kilianjornet and I, together with some passionated runners in Tromsø started @tromso.skyrace ! Happy weekend lovely you! I hope you will fill it with people you love, activities that gives you energy, a lot of cozy rest time or the thing that you feel you need. Weekend for us is a little less training, and more follow our girls wishes and schedule ❤️ 📸 @corosglobal I love winter training, skiing or running, even though sometimes it feels hard to get out in the cold. But as soon as I start moving it feels so good. Never regret a training ❤️ I love winter training, skiing or running, even though sometimes it feels hard to get out in the cold. But as soon as I start moving it feels so good. Never regret a training ❤️ The winter has been incredible weird up here. Rain and snow, warm and cold. Training long days has been a challenge and it makes me dream about my hobby; growing veggies! As long as I can remember I have been dreaming about having a big garden. It’s earthening to dig the hands in the soil, see the work you put down become veggies ❤️ These day’s I’ve made a master plan for the garden, but as with everything, the plan needs to be realised, with the work. And I’m up for it 👩🏽🌾 When the spring arrive so to say! The winter has been incredible weird up here. Rain and snow, warm and cold. Thank you 2022 for everything you thought me, everything I learnt, the struggle I’ve managed and the joy and happiness I had. ❤️ I love to take some time to think through the year and set some intentions and goals for the next. I wish you some lovely last days of the year. 😘 Thank you 2022 for everything. Up and downs and finally I feel like I’ve got that base needed for racing at higher levels. Mostly up’s, trusting the process, a few downs with weeks of covid and the flu. ❤️ To @kilianjornet who is very supporting and encouraging on the long travel it has been “coming back”. Very proud to be working with brands I admire and proudly stand for; ❤️ @nnormal_official @thule @corosglobal @silvaglobal @ski_trab Hey ho let’s go!! 🥳 📸@tuimagendeltrail Up and down on repeat. Let it swing as we say! A few dark weeks, when it has been a little harder to do the longer sessions, when both the body and mind just wanted to drink warm cacao. Winter mood is on and I feel like I start to wake up with the sun that is more and more present ☀️! More hours in the 📕 🥳 🎿 @ski_trab Previous years I did a 💯 switch from running to ski mountaineering, as I was so intrigued to become a better one! I still love skimo, especially to train and to race the more legendary “real” skimo races. We got a few one up here in the north. ❤️ This winter I have added 50 km of running/week into the ski mix and reduced meters of skiing, and it feels great! It’s not to much, but still to keep feeling like a runner. The switch in april has always felt super hard for me so I hope this 50 km will make a change!
