Some of the finest memories we have collected is bringing our little ones out in the nature. Hiking, skiing, biking, running. It´s about every step, not the destination. It´s about stopping to look at the woodpecker, listen to the birds song, being amazed by squirrels running and jumping in the crowns of the trees, the wildflowers, how cold the stream is and thousands of more small but incredible events the outdoor can offer. Here are some tips and tricks I collected over the years: A mutli purposal stroller is golden. We got the @thule Thule Chariot where you easily change from bike, jogging and skiing mood. A comfortable baby backpack. Bring warm clothes and changes. Bring snack. Snack often! And eating meals outside is a hit for us! After a break the energy levels and stoke are often high again. No need to give up! Be prepared to change the plan. All is fine anyway. Talk about the trips you´ve done together so far, and how nice it has been. We also talk about how strong we become when we move our bodies! Always always say yes when they want to go out! ( Even though sometimes I just want to walk our dog Maui efficient 😆) Do you have any go to´s ? A great source of inspiration; @familylifebythule ❤️

February moments ❤️ Very warm and very little snow but pleasant to spend time outside on the farm. Picnics in the sun, greenhouse planting- and lunches and coffee by the fireplace. This time “maternity leave” is different, at least in my mind! And hopefully I’ve hiked my last Nesaksla 🏔️ ⬆️ with a big belly! Waiting game is on. Isn’t it interesting ( and a bit frustrating sometimes 😉) that the span can be 4-5 weeks difference when the baby is ready to enter the outside world!

I feel embarrassed for the beautiful wild sport of ski mountaineering, that a new discipline for the Olympics is using that name. The legacy of a truly awesome sport. It has been a little raid of #saveskimo here on social media, and as a true lover, devoted athlete and fan of the sport I feel like contributing to it. What drew me to ski mountaineering was the mountains, the opportunity to race, and give my all in different conditions on mountains. To ski up a hill, continue on foot as the hill becomes a ridge, use crampons if needed, conditions we need to be comfortable in. Then to choose a line going down, mastering different snow conditions and of course follow the flags, but still choosing your own fastest way. I enjoyed the disciplines of vertical, I mean I´m an endurance athlete, who doesn´t want to push yourself to your absolutely limit? And a vertical is great for that. I enjoyed the sprints, more or less same thoughts there, to be fast, smooth and do transitions efficient. I saw it as side kicks to the real sport. To be good in these would help me perform on the real races. The sport that is going to the Olympics is a shame for the name, I wish they could change it. All respect for the athletes competing, I know how hard they train and pour all their heart in it, but my fire is still burning to protect and evolve ski mountaineering. Not skiing in a kids slope, running up stairs and following portals. Maybe the future is that ski mountaineering still excist with what it truly is, still world cups, championships etc, but also this new sport, sking up and down a small slope? What could be a good name for that? I´m not trying to be sarcastic here, just trying to think of ways to evolve a beautiful sport.
Living close to nature is something I highly value ❤️ Here’s an ode to that and working towards your goals.

I have always been an advocate for eating holistic when it comes to season, production and environmental impact, and I think it’s important to know where and how food is produced. Nowadays big non organic farming is so destructive to the land. I believe nutrition is an important part of an athlete’s wellbeing and correlated with performance. But what I have experienced more and more during pregnancies is that I react even more to food that is not nourishing. When the energy output is big, you can get away with eating less nutrition dense food, because you need so much energy to meet the demands ( as long as you get the nutrients that you need in the big picture) but with little energy output, what I put in matters more. To cook food takes time, energy and creativity, and most times I prioritise this, but I have also experienced being very tired so cooking have been neglected. When I then had energy I made sure to prepp for the times when not. To make it easier to eat nourishing meals my go to have been: Big batches of bean and veggie chilis/ currys Frozen veggies- just to boil Different beans and lentils preboiled but in the freezer Bean burgers Different Sauces and hummus to spice up meals Preparing big boxes of sallads to keep in the fridge for some days Smoothies with berries and proteinpowder Sourdough bread Nutbutters Big jar of overnight oats How about you? Are you a foodie? Do you lack inspiration/time to cook? Do you thinking about how the food is produced? Let me know! ❤️ 👂

Some take aways training with my heartrate @corosglobal arm strap. 1: thank good for arm strap instead of chest strap. Can’t imagine how uncomfortable that must be now. 🤰🏼 2: getting into zone 3 feels quite easy, but now in the very late weeks I will try to stay in zone 2. Just because my own theory that I don’t want my body to experience fight and flight mood, even though it’s relaxing for me, the ancient system might feel birth is far away 🤔 3: in the beginning of third trimester ( weeks ago now) it felt good to push the heartrate in short intervals towards end of zone3 beginning of zone 4. 4: still my heartrate is much higher then pre pregnancy- and it makes sense! To create a tiny human takes ENERGY- I give myself some good rest. ❤️
@silvaglobal has been my headlamp since forever, aswell as my first ever compass joining an orienteering summer camp when I was 10! Models for long races, short races, training in technical terrain or just some extra light on the roads and cozy evening walks. I love the close work with the team on innovation and marketing 💜 Cheers to bright runs and adventures 🥂
