It was fun to take on Kia @fjallmaraton Peak Performance Vertical K last week. The numbers looked good, and I was especially happy with how my body held up, even with my iron levels running low lately. Now it’s time to rest, recover, and focus on getting those levels back up. I also shared a few thoughts with @corosglobal on finding your way back to trail running after some time away, or getting started if you’re new to the sport. Link’s in the bio if you’d like to read more. #trainwithcoros

February moments ❤️ Very warm and very little snow but pleasant to spend time outside on the farm. Picnics in the sun, greenhouse planting- and lunches and coffee by the fireplace. This time “maternity leave” is different, at least in my mind! And hopefully I’ve hiked my last Nesaksla 🏔️ ⬆️ with a big belly! Waiting game is on. Isn’t it interesting ( and a bit frustrating sometimes 😉) that the span can be 4-5 weeks difference when the baby is ready to enter the outside world!

Yesterday was our local race @romsdalseggenlopet by @norskfjellfestival ⭐ It’s a favourite! 9 km 1000 m, short, steep, technical and so fun! So nice to see our local running community grow! I have run it 4 times, so it’s great to see the shape. Not great ( obviously) but not as bad as I thought. 2019: 1.10 2021: 1.16 2022: 1.08 ( CR) 2025: 1.12 Tack @miamhaga 🎥 🦅
My easy runs have become so nice as our oldest daughter Maj have become very fast and comfortable on her bike! I love bringing one of the younger ones in the stroller too 🥰 Maj is biking on a Explore model by @woombikes , perfect for our roads with ⬆️ ⬇️ and some gravel inbetween. Kids bikes was new to us, and I’m surprised it was hard to find a lighter one, and when I looked around I heard ( from someone who worked at a bike brand) that many are so heavy because parents are trying them 😅 Not sponsored, just a tip from me to parents who is looking for a great bike!
August ❤️ Slowly starting over again- getting some beautiful very easy mountain days in. Spending time outdoors with the family, soaking up the sun before the darker months arrive, picking berries, mushrooms and harvesting veggies from the farm. August- you where a treat! A few more days before the autumn kicks in and Kilian will take on his longest project 👀! And no- we will not join him on the travel to 🇺🇸 We’ll stay home!
Soil on my hands, planting seeds, clearing weeds, Covering earth with grass, with leaves, with algae— Anything I can find, to give the soil what it needs. A patch of life, fed by scraps and care, Compost dreams and morning air. I don’t know where the burning urge comes from, To bend and dig beneath the sun, To sweat for crops that barely feed— But maybe it’s not hunger I’m trying to appease, Maybe it’s the need to feel the land, To root myself in something I understand. When I’m tired, when my body feels strained, I don’t reach for rest, I run through rain. Chores on the farm, in mud and storm, Somehow they spark a fire, keep me warm. Hands in motion, mind at ease, Peace found in labor, in pulling weeds. 📸 @matti_bernitz

Training status; Easy mountain outings ❤️ Started to think training after 3 months pp, and felt ok for some weeks. Then every training started to feel heavy and I thought I just reached the first plateau. But it was my iron levels! So I will iron up and continue just moving around easy out there. This mindset and feelings I have doing these kind of very easy trainings makes me remember how I got into trailrunning. It was just me and my curiosity of what’s behind or the view on top of a mountain. It has gotten me inspired to take a little reset/detox from my phone- So brb lovely’s 😘

I hoped for a 8 of march baby- the international women’s day ❤️ A day so worth acknowledging and keep working for equality in all aspects and countries. Instead of the baby’s arrival, @thule gilde 3 with the baby bassinet arrived just in time ❤️ All is ready 👶! Some new updates makes this super smooth to put together and walk with. Ohh and I look so much forward to run with our little one when that time comes! Thank you @familylifebythule for this!
Starting from where you are. After time away from competition and structured training, Emelie Forsberg is returning to the mountains with a renewed sense of purpose—not chasing numbers, but reconnecting with the feeling that started it all. From her home in Romsdalen, she reflects on rebuilding slowly, letting go of comparisons, and the quiet strength that comes from simply being out there, one step at a time. “When I manage to let go of expectations, like comparing myself to how I felt before pregnancy or looking at pace or times, I can truly enjoy just being out there again, moving through the mountains and trails. That feeling is so important to protect, because it’s how it all started for me. I love being out there, and I want to take care of that love. Adding structured training again is fun and interesting, especially from the perspective of evolving as an athlete. But the base—the joy of movement in nature—has to come first.” 📸 @matti_bernitz #endurance
