QUICK AND EASY TORTILLAS (Makes 8) 1.5 cups of flour 0.5 teaspoon baking powder 0.5 teaspoon ground salt 1/5 cup of olive oil 0.5 cup of warm water Mix together the flour, salt and baking powder then add the oil and water whilst stirring (I used my kitchen aid). Mix it together until you don’t see any oil or lumps. Cut into 8 even-ish sections. Roll into a balls and then flatten each one with your hand. Cover lightly in flour and lay to rest for about 20 minutes with a tea towel over the top. Roll the balls super thin and then put in a very hot pan. Leave on its first side for about 1 minute (it takes about this time to see some bubbles appear), then flip with a spatula and leave on the other side for about 20 seconds. Keep checking that it’s not burning and turn the heat down a little after cooking a few because your pan will be increasingly hot. EASTER DECORATIONS I never used to decorate for Easter. Not until we moved into this house 🏡 It wasn’t until this year that I bought an Easter wreath. I have now got a rather lovely little Easter decorations box and I must say it makes me so happy. I only decorate little sections for the week, maybe even only for three days, Good Friday-Easter Sunday. It may be silly to some but the joy it brings is worth it ✨ . GOOD FRIDAY Yesterday was a wonderful day. I love Good Friday so much and when it’s sunny I love it even more 🥰 We went to an Easter themed fun bootcamp @elevatesport 🏃🏻♀️ 🐰 Then Liam and did a bit of cleaning and I did a ton of cooking whilst Albie napped (yep, I put him down for a nap to help me out but I think he needed it 👍🏼). Then my parents and brother and sister in law came over for a mini Easter before they swan off on an epic adventure 🇨🇳 🇯🇵!! We ate this feast, did Easter egg hunts and drank Prosecco in the sun ☀️. It was so lovely. Then…Liam and I caught up on this weeks Ted Lasso!!! Gawd I adore that show. Talking of tv…we finished The Night Agent last night. NAPS 😴 Albie has mostly stopped napping but during the old nap time he we will sometimes have some quiet tv time. Yesterday Albie, Coco and I sat on the sofa watching tv and all three of us fell asleep…at 16:35 😬. Danger Nap!!!! Talking of naps though…when did your child stop napping? (Gifted meal) We took Albie out to @the_ivy_collection in Cobham last night and we had such a wonderful time. As you can see by his face of delight, the ice cream Sunday was his favourite part of the Little Dreamers menu 🥰. The ice cream came with a high tea style tiered plate which had interactive things to add to the ice cream like popping candy, candy floss, chocolate sauce and sprinkles ✨. He was in heaven.
