It’s my birthday 🎈 and I made a Russian honey cake 🎂 I love nothing more than trying out a new style of baking and I chose mine and mums birthday to make a totally random cake (random to me but not online-there are millions of recipes around). It’s basically a stack of biscuits. I used nine biscuits. Then a cream, sour cream, honey, vanilla icing. I added the zest of lemon and lime to the icing which made it much nicer for me as someone that doesn’t really love cream. Go on Lionesses ⚽️ Had to share this behind the scenes from a commercial I shot for Lenovo. In the audition I had to do a bicycle kick. Despite playing football for my school from a young age I had never done anything special, trick-wise. I went to the casting in between a fitting job in Battersea. I travelled to London Bridge and back back in quite the sweat but the casting director wasn’t there yet. I had to leave to get back to work!! They were running the casting until 6 so I decided I would go back again after work. I wasn’t sure whether to bother because I didn’t think I could even do a bicycle kick 😂. That being said, I thought…there can’t be too many london actresses that have played football before!!?? Anyway…luckily they were grateful I came back and I nailed the kick every-time 😂. We’ve had such a lovely Friday afternoon off work. We drove to pick mum up and whisked her off to visit @d.oyly.s for a crepe 🥞. It was such a lovely place to visit. You can take dogs too! Albie and I had TWO ‘Buena Sarah’s’ which is the chocolate praline crepe. It was my favourite chocolate pancake I have EVER eaten in my whole life- seriously!! There were chunks of @kinderbueno_official in it!!!!!!! 👌🏼 (my picture of it is not representative of how fab it was 😂 Originally we couldn’t find a table because it was so busy so we sat on the deck (with a couple of deckchairs) with Albie’s toys spread out on the floor. When we got a table we actually let someone else have it because sitting around by the river edge was perfect. I have to say it felt a little bit anxious making with Albie by the river but where we were it wasn’t deep so it would have been fine if he had decided to jump in 😂. BABY HEARTBEAT 💓 I went for my midwife appointment today and she played baby’s heartbeat 💗 🥰 Can you guess the sex of baby by the heartbeat with the old wives tale? We know the gender 😉 Near the end you can hear baby keeps kicking the midwife away 😆 After my appointment I treated myself to a yummy berry smoothie from @coffee.otc . BACK IN THE KITCHEN 🎂 This is my first time baking since becoming pregnant 🤰 my morning sickness has been so dreadful that I have barely stepped foot in the kitchen. I am exhausted but so happy and content having baked again! I was inspired by @devamadeo lemon yoghurt cake recipe. With a couple of adjustments like adding coconut oil instead of vegetable oil and making a mixed berry compote. Ad/ We’ve just visited New Romney in Kent where we found the hidden gem of a beach that you all swooned over on my stories. We were over at Greatstone Beach – Albie loved it so much!
