4 years ago I started CCC, but stopped before Trient. Maj was 5 months, and even though I felt strong and eager to run a long distance, I wasn’t emotionally ready. A whole day without my little one!
This aspect too is important to keep in mind, and with our second little one I tried to find a better balance with this in mind.
@rachelraedrake just posted some important words about the bouncing back into shape- that is very different from person to person.
6 days to go- and I do really look forward to be out running a whole day! A WHOLE (!) DAY! So cool!

But! Everything have two or more sides, and despite a bad feeling, I was happy to experience this race, and to meet so many along the corse. Bravo a tous!
Another positive thing is that my legs are fresh and ready to train for CCC 😆
Also very happy to know that heat is really my weakness. We have been doing different tests with @nnormal_official and what I can improve most is with heat training!

After 5 hours I started to have pain in my foot, I have had it before but normally just in the beginning of the season. It got sharper and sharper and after Trient km 70 I decided with a lot of doubt to stop. 🛑
A DNF is mentally a very hard decision to take, and I feel like I will need to take some time for this one.

Soaking up some home time, mountain time and time to reflect.
I love this summer that have been, my goals to work more on my flat running, and if I look to that, I feel proud of the work and where it has taken me. The journey is the goal here, and I truly love every hard step.
The races I choosed didn’t end as I hoped, but there are good explanations, not excuses! I can be hard on myself but I would never to a friend, so I’m giving that to myself now too.
I’m thankful for all your messages, they too encourage me to look ahead.
I’m so excited for what’s ahead even though I want every day to be twice as long. It’s a good feeling ❤️
