Last night, another one of those comedy sets where it feels like pure bliss, as if all in the room are ONE.
At the end, I felt like we had the world’s answer. If we could just cut & paste that room around the globe – the positive power of possibility would be transformative, transcendent and transmuted, bringing us into a community of peace, prosperity & promise.
This 2 hour space in time was the perfect symphony, audience & comic in prefect sync. Nice work tubas. Percussion – you hit every beat. Triangle? That was an amazing solo. You can now move onto rectangle now. Congrats.
Kudos to all in attendance. You brought it. No one checking I-Pads, I-Phones, I-Watches. We canceled self obsession. No I, just WE. No mass media, social media =
no FEAR. Just joy.

1988. Outta college, ready to attack show business, moved to LA.
@jenniferconvy dad, TV star Bert Convy, gave his daughter his Dodger tix for the World Series. Game day, we get to her dad’s house, can see the tix on his kitchen counter, but we are locked out.
I had a decision to make. Do we give up, or do I let my new Beverly Hills friend know about my Philly past, when I broke into homes for the older teen gangs? Acceptance Cali guy, or resilient back east boy?
Hah! Is there really a choice?!
I crawled in, and grew-up-poor Craigy Shoemaker got to sit in a luxury box at Dodger stadium for the WORLD SERIES!
As luck would have it, the game was 1 of the most historic EVER. The Kurt Gibson home run against the then mighty A’s, and the top pitcher in baseball.
When he hit that shot, against all odds, over the right field fence, the place erupted. Well, half the place, because typical for Los Angeles, many left early to beat the traffic! Lol. Morons.
To add to this fantasy moment, was that the 4 guys in the box next to us, were some of the most famous in comedy history. During celebration, I found myself jumping up & down, hugging my idols, which added to the already epic moment.
Now, a game for you…
Name the 4 icons. Only hint – 2 were pretty much known for comedy, also stand-ups, and the other 2 had broad careers in movie acting.
