My baby is SEVEN!! Happy birthday to the greatest love of my whole life❤️ you’re my whole world and beyond and I’m so lucky you’re mine ❤️ I love you amore di mamma❤️❤️
I sure hope you all had a magical day with your loved ones, we had a great weekend and I for one am so glad it’s over lol I’m taking this week off from cooking videos (I’ll be chatting up in stories obviously 😂) to focus on spending this week with my family and friends and cherishing these few days while before starting off with a bang next week!! I have so many exciting things planned and can’t wait to share it with you!! I’m looking forward to the break this week so I can come back re charged and ready to crush 2024! Who’s with me??
I just don’t think you can get better on a cold winter day than a slice of warm scented cinnamon orange coffee cake and a fresh coffee. The house smells cozy, it feels inviting and you have what you need to warm yourself up in an instant! Coffee cake recipe adapted from my very first coffee cake shared on LITK, still so yum! Ingredients listed below!
1 cup of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
Zest of 1 medium orange or 2 clementines
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
1.5 tsp of cinnamon
3/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice
For the topping:
1/4 cup of brown sugar
3 tbsp of flour
1.5 tbsp of cold butter
Bake in a 9×13 or small Bundt pan at 350 for 45 min!
I had no intention on sharing this today but then a few things popped into my mind, A) I can’t do you dirty like that, now would be so mean!!
B) it’s your reminder that if you have good bread in the freezer to thaw, you can make this and suddenly you’re dipping and eating and chatting away with a friend and life is better.
C) It’s your reminder that this is a perfectly suitable afternoon snack if your heart is longing for it such as mine was. The best bread oil dip I promise!! Amounts down below but as always, tailor to your preferences! It’s addictive tho so don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
1/2 cup of olive oil (not the super strong stuff)
1 tsp of Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp (or more) of hot pepper flakes
1 tbsp of chopped parsley
Pinch of salt and pepper
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced of grated
2-3 tbsp of freshly grated parm
Drizzle of good thick balsamic, about 1 tbsp
1 good appetite 😜
What an easy delight!! One of our absolute fav quick weeknight dishes that comes together in 20 min! Full recipe on my site, linked in bio!
This hummus will go down as the best I’ve ever had, it’s sensational, luxe, creamy, rich and so delicious I just know you will love it! Recipe linked in stories but it always lives on my site!
This was my why, my reason and purpose behind At My Italian Table. To pass on her legacy, to watch my little girl make gnocchi for the first time with my nonna (this truly was the first time) and we captured it to share it with you because this moment is a moment I never want to forget! The same hands that stood on top of mine as I learned to roll them, the same woman who would make so many batches and big pots of sauce with bracioletti to serve them with to feed pretty much the whole neighborhood, all these moments are in my book. This is just a tiny sliver of how much heart and soul this book has, and if you give me the honor of allowing me into your home and kitchen, I’ll help you live your BEST Italian life one bite at a time! You can pre order it now, and it would mean the world to me! Link in bio and stories! Both recipes for the gnocchi and bracioletti are in the book of course, it was the first recipe I ever learned to cook and first recipe that when In the book (it was a no brainer honestly 🥹) I just can’t wait for you to get it ❤️❤️

@clarksonpotter best ever team!
Buongiorno my people!!! It dawned on me I never shared this with you months ago and honestly with NYE around the corner and some of you possibly having overnight guests and I felt it was pretty perfect timing to make these cheats cinnamon rolls! I have an entire video on LITK on this and they are truly sensational, the absolute ONLY way to make store bought cinnamon rolls in my opinion. 5 minutes of work (if that) and you’ll have the fluffiest, most delish rolls! I’ll link my recipe/method in stories (or just search for cheats cinnamon rolls on my site, linked in bio) you’ll just loveeee them!!
Here’s a reminder that probably the best project on a cold cold winter day is to make fresh croissants. I don’t make them in the warmer months because the key is to keep that butter cold and fold and roll to create all those flaky layers. Listen I’m no professional, I just know good food and these are absolutely SENSATIONAL!! Full recipe on my site, detailed video to go with it, stuff with Nutella, crema pasticcera or jam and you will be obsessed!!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! ❤️
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! ❤️
Just wanted to share my latest fixation with you that’s been on repeat because it’s so good!!!!! I’m no tiny eater (as in, I’m no almond mom I’m a chicken cutlet mom 😂😂) and I’ve been loving this cottage cheese bruschetta situation and can only imagine how amazing it will be with garden fresh summer tomatoes! Make a little tomato salad, toast some bread (linking tostapane in stories!) top with cottage cheese and marinated tomato situation and go to town!
I cannot even explain to you just hot good these beef tips are and come together in literally under 20 minutes. Such a fav, you MUST serve them alongside mashed potatoes or buttered noodles to absorb all that luscious gravy and you’ll get a standing ovation I swear! Make them!!!
Dinner can be easy peasy if you make this! Season some chicken with some garlic and herb then stuff with a little flavored spreadable cheese situation, wrap it in a prosciutto (I also did 2 pancetta wrapped) blanket, surround with tomatoes, peppers, garlic (I would have added shallots and olives but was out) drizzle with olive oil and bake at 425 for like 40 minutes. Some of the cheese oozes out, mixes with the juicy veg and creates its own sauce. I served mine with angel hair (not a fav of mine but joe loves it) tossed in that sauce with a tbsp of added butter and a handful of cheese and y’all I just about needed to be resuscitated !!!! It was SOOOOOO good! You must must give it a try!
You need a good bread basket at your holiday meal, I mean it’s a given. I’ve made this roasted garlic and mozzarella spicy focaccia a few years in a row and let me tell youuuuuuuu, it does NOT disappoint! I’ll link the recipe in bio, but trust meeee, it’s out of this world!!
One of the easiest and most versatile treats you can make in minutes if you have puff pastry in your fridge and just about any fruit on hand. I make these turnovers a lot, I do berries and cream in the summer, apples, pears and jam in winter and always such a hit. Serve with a cup of coffee for a real treat or a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of salted caramel for something truly sensational. I’ll link this recipe in stories! It always lives on my site!
Baking, cooking and a concerning amount of coffee is just about all that’s getting me through these cold colddddd winter days.. I make banana bread probably every other week in this house, it’s Mia’s fav (we all love it) and I always have ripe bananas on hand I need to use up. The perfect activity for this snowy weather!! This is just my standard banana bread recipe (the best there is!!) turned into muffins and baked at 350 for 25 min. I added chocolate chips to some of the batter because ya know, I’m feelin real frisky and wild 😂😂
Buongiorno! It feels so good to start a new week on the right foot! I couldn’t wait to share this 15 minute baked fish (I call it Italian baked fish) because it’s so so good and perfect for a busy weeknight. Add it all to a small roasting pan (adjust the amounts to fit your needs and I used cod here but any firm fish or even large shelled shrimp will work) in a 400 degree oven for 10 min and broil for 2. I served mine with linguini and tossed some of that sauce with them and it’s so good!! I also added a couple tbsp of white wine to the mix but forgot to take a clip of that 🤦🏻♀️ anyway, make it, it’s delish!
2 filets of cod
Handful of cherry tomatoes
Handful of black olives
1 tbsp of capers
Garlic
Olive oil
2 tbsp of white wine
S,P and oregano
Dab of butter
Fresh parsley and dill finely chopped
These are more heavenly than you can imagine!! A nice treat midweek to make life just a little sweeter in the midsts of the weekday chaos. Full recipe on my site, I’ll link it for you directly in stories!
Buongiorno!! Here’s your reminder that life is sweeter with a weekend treat. This millionaire shortbread is a thing of absolute dreams!!! I don’t make it often because truth be told, I will in fact eat the whole pan (and that’s saying something from someone with great willpower) they are just that sensational. Buttery tender crust, chewy interior and a chocolate lid lightly kissed by some flakey sea salt to bring it all together. One of my all time favs!! Recipe on my site and I’ll link it for you directly in stories!
Christmas means so much to my soul and my soul wouldn’t be fulfilled without my home smelling like pastiera which is just the smell of my childhood all over again. I close my eyes and I remember standing in my nonna’s kitchen around her old 12 foot table right by the fireplace, the whole house smelling like millefiori and limoncello, nonno roasting chestnuts in the fireplace and everyone coming in one by one all saying the same thing “comm addor ca dint” which translates to “wow does it smell good in here” and now that same phrase runs through everyone’s lips as they walk in my home and to me that is the definition of happiness, success, joy and fulfillment ❤️
Guagliu, ma che ne sapete de fasul e scarol???? Un piatto classico, cucina “povera” che i ricchi desiderano!! Guys what do know about beans and escarole?!! A classic “cucina povera” dish that the rich desire (as Nonna would say) top classic, you can make it soupy or like this which is incredible on its own with bread and an extra drizzle of strong extra virgin olive oil or on the side of anything (along side sausage is a top fav) everything is by eye, but I’ll do an in depth video on LItK next week! I partially cook my escarole and never would start this dish without anchovies, otherwise my Nonna would revoke my birth certificate 😂 saw @davidroccosvita make a version of this the other day and immediately craved my nonna’s version 🥰
Buongiorno!! Here’s your friendly reminder that if you’re doing a seafood feast for your Christmas Eve table, LITk has you covered! Fried calamari, seafood salad, spicy mussels, linguini with clams, stuffed baked clams, branzino, you name it I’ve got it! Some of the recipes need new photos (and new videos which I plan on doing all next year) but trust and believe they are sensational!!
