Counting my blessings. I’m feeling real lucky for this life I’m living and for those who choose to be apart of it. The past few weeks have been a dream… from spending time exploring Costa Rica with my love to holding space for seven men on a life changing experience. I’ve been making new friends, eating mind blowing vegan food, surfing, stretching, adventuring and most importantly learning a lot about myself. My return home was bittersweet as I couldn’t wait to see the pups and be in my own space however I felt a bit sad to leave Costa Rica and that this retreat I spent so much time curating came to an end. Took me a few days to re-acclimate to my life here in LA while trying to hold on to the peace and pace I was living. Grateful for these experiences that shape me and point me in the direction of the man I hope to become. I love this life I’ve built for myself and am excited for the future. It seems the people we aspire to be like have this unwavering belief in themselves and where they’re going. But they must have doubts too. I think it’s about finding a way to keep persisting regardless of a momentary lack in confidence or when we encounter some inevitable friction. I believe in me. I really do. I may not always act like it or talk to myself in a way that would lead you to think I do. But I do. Deep down I’m an optimist. I’m a believer. What helps me on the days I feel like an imposter is reflecting back on some of the storms I’ve weathered. I don’t need to believe, I know. I know I’m resilient. I know I will do the work. Signing in to sign out ✌🏼 Arrived in Costa Rica yesterday early morning and drove down to @casanautika in Dominical, which will be my home for the next to weeks! It feels really good to be here. Grateful to have some time to decompress and enjoy with @emcrouchie and to prepare for the @lykos.life Men’s Retreat! There is nothing like falling asleep to the orchestra of the jungle in what feels like a treehouse in the jungle overlooking the ocean! Now, we just woke up and did a meditation and plan to stretch a bit before catching some waves. As much as I’d love to share my experience in ‘reel’ time with you 😉 I’ve decided it will be best for me and my spirit to put the phone down and truly be present. I recently got myself a new camera which I want to build a habit of using, to document this trip and also the retreat.
