Always going for ‘hot summer gal’, often landing on ‘surf – dude extra on Neighbours in the 90’s’ (reference pic 1) -And some other colourful things I’ve been wearing. I have never felt able to get on board with the beige trends. I look like an uncooked sausage. For me it’s colour, colour, colour. Whenever I ask if my step daughter wants to borrow something from my wardrobe she’s like…its so rainbow in here (not in a good way 😂) My dear mate @howtoglitteraturd will always be my fashion inspo (and life inspo). She was a walking, talking rainbow. Rainbow forevs 🌈

Recently I’ve been feeling like shit. I’ve been getting colds relentlessly and feeling a bit flat. I’ve been pushing myself a bit too much and expecting too much of my body and mind. The kids being off, the book tour, happy place festival and basically having zero rest. My body always shouts when I’m not listening. Today was the first time I’ve moved my body in a week. It was slow, the morning sunshine was delightful and I focused on what every bit of my body felt like. Camel pose always feels utterly overwhelming to me and makes me feel a bit sick but it’s such a good heart opener. I feel so much better now 🌞 Ps in this video there’s a point where the sun literally shines out of my arse 😁🤣 Pps my obsession with @ilovelucius continues
It’s been a full on couple of weeks since the first @happyplaceofficial festival of the summer. We’ve been working on some new projects and recording some lovely new podcast episodes for you all, so I’m perhaps teetering on the edge of burn out but I’ve made some core memories along the way. 1) squeezing the life out of my sister in law @leahwoodartwork 2) my people (minus Lola) Three out of four of The Wood kids looking smart in their wedding get up. @jessejameswood and I felt super proud. 3) new dream boat dress 4) Honey and George, the dream duo. Two chilled peas in a pod 5) me simply loving @zandra_rhodes_ Thanks for all your lush comments about this week’s episode. I think many of us learnt a lot from Zandra wisdom and perspective. 💞

#AD These days, many of us are more mindful about what we drink. There are times when we don’t feel like drinking alcohol, or perhaps we want to pace ourselves with alcohol free cocktails knowing we’re in for a great fun long night ahead of us. For nights like those, I love a Seedlip cocktail, which is why I am so excited to be working with them to champion this mindset of mindful drinking. So I say cheers to being your true authentic self and getting the right balance for you. You will be able to head to the Seedlip Bar at the Happy Place Festival in Tatton Park on 31st August & 1st September! Please drink responsibly. #drinkinteresting @seedlipdrinks Seedlip 0.05% ABV
Wellness to me means doing things that I know make me feel balanced, less stressed and more mentally at peace. Practising self-care is something that many of us put to the bottom of the list but when we do make time for it the benefits are huge. The other morning with @nobodyschild was a prime example of just that and a big reminder that we all need to slow down where possible. Together, we gathered our friends to create a moment of stillness. We took part in energy healing and a breathwork class at the incredible Bamford Spa. Tell me your top tips for being more mindful in the comments below 🌿
Do you have the confidence to speak up and say “no”? Rachel Stevens has learnt it’s ok to stand up for yourself and have a voice. In this chat with Fearne – live from the Happy Place Festival – Rachel talks about how emotions are messy, and they’re better spoken out loud imperfectly than not at all. They also chat about the early years of S Club 7; the band gave Rachel safety and structure when she needed to escape from a difficult family life. But over time it wore down her autonomy and independence; she explains how she found her voice so that you can too. Plus, are you a worrier? Fearne and Rachel both share what they’re anxious about every single day. Available to listen now or watch the full episode on YouTube ✨ You can now book more than one workshop at our Tatton Park festival! Head to our festival website to find out more. Rachel’s book, Finding My Voice, is out now.

And how has she stayed so grounded all this time? 👉 Search ‘Happy Place’ wherever you get your podcasts 👉 Or watch on YouTube
