Bruce would call it my “birthday month.” So we must celebrate! I’m blessed and grateful to have family and friends (in this video and afar) who made it so special for me all month long 🥰 There’s still a few days left of June and I’m going to ride this baby out till the end!
Doggy Fruit Ice Bowl 🧊🐶 🧊Grab some frozen fruit or cut up any dog-safe fruit into a large mixing bowl. It’s really about adding flavor. Even cucumber could be nice. 🧊Add water but be mindful as it will rise when you place the inside bowl. 🧊Freeze 🐶 Thaw for little to remove from the bowl and serve! I wish I remembered who gave me this idea so I could tag them!

My hope is that this book offers you support and insight as you find your footing on your journey as a caregiver. At its heart, it’s about reminding you to take care of yourself so you can be the best care partner for your loved one. This isn’t selfish; it’s self-preservation—something I wish I had understood and given myself the grace to do earlier on. In fact, the book shares so many things I wish I’d known sooner. @mountainhumane offers the sweetest program called Hikin’ Buddies where you can take a shelter dog for a hike. Which is exactly what we did with Rover. If I wasn’t allergic, Rover would be our newest family member. We hope he finds a warm and kind home soon as he left an imprint on our hearts 🫠💞🐕🦺
I can’t say that I have the greenest of thumbs. But I will say that over the past few years gardening has been a form a meditation for me. It’s gets me out of the house, moving and I have really enjoyed the process of learning something new 🪴 Please drop me a helpful basic gardening tip in the comments below if you so choose! 🙏🏽⬇️👩🏽🌾
Being back in Paris has me feeling so nostalgic for this snapshot in time. @Jgalliano took over the house of @Dior, Fashion TV was the channel, ‘Style with Elsa Klensch’ was a weekly treat. @Giambattistavalli made magic with @Emanuelungaroparis. @Stellamccartney and her then-right-hand, @Phoebephilo, were shaping the vision of @Chloe. And I’ll never forget watching Monsieur Saint Laurent creating and fitting pieces on me in real time. Even though I was young, the energy was electric—you could feel it, like you were part of something extraordinary. It was truly a moment in time, and for those lucky enough to be in fashion during that era, you know exactly what I mean 💫

Part 3 of 3 FTD Advocacy Updates 🚨 Being able to see firsthand the awareness @michellehincheynysenate is bringing to the NY state capitol was really meaningful and impactful for me. Senator Hinchey is and has truly been a champion in every sense of the word for our FTD community. She understands why awareness is so important as her father, Representative Maurice D. Hinchey had FTD. Her work has also inspired me greatly to become an advocate. When I learned about FTD Awareness Week being recognized in NY due to Senator Hinchey’s work, I thought, I want to do that in CA ✅ Now I understand why a FTD registry is so important, that I’d like to pursue that for our home state too. I’ll happily follow her lead and share it with all of you in hopes you’ll be inspired to pursue all these avenues for your state as well. This is truly a team effort but it’s worth rolling our sleeves up for 💞 #frontotemporaldementia #ftdawareness

I believe caregiving isn’t just personal—it’s a societal responsibility. Women, especially women of color, carry the greatest burden, and we need systemic change to support them. Thank you, CA Women Lead, for championing these vital conversations. Together, we can pave the way for a future where families no longer feel alone or unsupported, but instead receive the care and resources they truly need. @cawomenlead is California’s longest-standing non-partisan organization supporting women in leadership across both public and private sectors. FTD strikes younger. It is the most common form of dementia for people under the age of 60. So what that usually means, is that families are navigating FTD while raising their young family. When we released our family statement about Bruce’s FTD diagnosis, Spencer’s mother Gail reached out to me. She’s a board member of @theaftd. Gail and her husband had young triplets at the time while Gail was navigating her husband’s FTD diagnosis. One of those triplets was Spencer. Gail has always been supportive and told me that our young girl’s would be alright. And when I see the determination, compassion and drive that Spencer has and how his family support him, I know that statement to be true 😊 Let’s add some bike mileage into can for Spencer so he can complete his goal ✅🏁 #pedalforspencer #ftdawarenessweek #frontotemporaldementia
