This was extraordinarily painful to put together. The levels of violence being inflicted on another human being is heartbreaking. The normalisation of that violence is terrifying. Why does a website like that even fucking exist?? 31.7% of men would 🍇 a woman if there were no consequences. And those are just the people who answered honestly. Why haven’t we reached a point where any form of SA is not even on the list of things that’s permissible to do to another human being? You know, like cannibalism? That’s pretty much universally reviled right? May I ask why SA isn’t on that list of things that are universally reviled? Would this change if the stats were flipped and majority of SA’s were carried out against men? So very often, it was someone the victim knew. Someone the victim loved. Are we supposed to walk around fearing and distrusting everyone? Even those closest to us? Or do we also “not all men” ourselves and hope for the best? “Please, I hope he loves me more than he loves getting his rocks off.” “Please, I hope he genuinely sees me as a human being.” “Please, I hope he is part of the 68.3%.” Really? Are there more men who are willing to do the work to see how the patriarchy harms them, to see how they knowingly or unknowingly uphold the systems that harm us ALL and make this world disproportionately more dangerous for women and then do something about it? I am not a man, I have not experienced how the patriarchy specifically harms men, here are some men who are doing some great work exploring that and re-imagining how things could be. @therealbenhurst @beyond_equality @mantalks @sheisnotyourrehab @brandontalksmarriage @tatemichaelsmith @thespeechprof If you have more resources, please share them. One thing I hope to see more is men asking themselves what they can do instead of defending themselves with “Not all men.” I am so grateful for Gisele’s bravery and courage. Shame must change sides. Merci, Gisele.

Being PATIENT. First, some pretty butterfliesss. It’s always a good day when I see them. Started doing Muay Thai at @evolvemma and oh my lord, it has been a real challenge lemme tell you. Hahha my fitness is nowhere near where I want it to be but it’s been fun. Gotta get out of that mindset of having to be good at things immediately! Patience. Btw, does anybody know where to get workout gear that isn’t freaking sports bras. Hahhaha is it just me who has this problem?! Am currently battling a really annoying chesty cough. I got so desperate that I found a cough remedy online and boiled this pear, honey, date, peppercorn thing. I only had sichuan peppercorns at home and I didn’t clock that it was a different peppercorn until my tongue got a bit numb. Hahahah. Also, pear didn’t work for me cos it’s cooling and I think it set off my cough even more. THANK YOU for all your suggestions, am gonna leave the (updated) list here in case anyone else needs it!! Some are for cold coughs some are for heaty coughs, so make sure you check first! I’m not a doctor so you please ah, ownself use your judgement haha. So far I’ve tried with what I happened to have at home- bone broth (totally new to me, loving it!!), turmeric, black pepper and oat milk, and what I usually do- ginger and pepper. Please don’t follow my proportions, was too impatient and just made stuff without really checking haha. Yeah… Im working on it. I’m not sure how much the many drinks are helping but it feels like they’re working? And that’s good enough for me at this point! Has anyone tried that wrapping onion to the soles of your feet thing? I’m not sure if I’d be able to handle the smell 😵💫 Ok, here’s sending lots of love to you guys!!! Drink lots of water, be well!!!

One of my favourite days 🫶 now i’ll always remember the date. 🙂 Musings from a day with mum, hmm, she might be on to something with the dates on photos, like the photos in old albums ✨✨

I just wanted to give this dress a moment and also tell you it has pockets!! And then i went down a rabbit hole!! Lol Did you guys know??? Ok. In the middle ages, BOTH men and women used to carry pouches, then those pouches were sewn into clothes, HOWEVER, the men’s were easily accessible whilst women’s were hidden under petticoats and undergarments. Then women’s pockets turned back to pouches because figure hugging dresses came in fashion, I mean, gorgeous, BUT THEN they had to switch back to pouches and this time they were too tiny to carry much. Well, they had no access to money or property anyway, and their husbands had pockets, what did they need them for, right? RIGHT…? In the 1800’s, women actually had to fight for their clothes to be more functional, they would pass around instruction manuals on how to sew pockets into your skirts! Every once in a while, I sit in awe of the women who came before us who dreamt and fought for what we have now. Also in awe of how ridiculous the things they had to fight for in the first place were. Sure got some people who will be like “It’s just pockets. It’s not that deep”. They’re not wrong… Pockets in women’s jeans are still 48% shorter and also narrower than men’s pockets. Haha 🫢

When humans are in harmony with nature, wonder blooms. Oak is known for its strength and endurance, and it runs through every facet of The Macallan. Their oak casks are made and repaired by highly skilled in-house coopers. They take an average of 6 years to craft, and are responsible for 80% of the flavour and 100% of its colour. The byproduct created while making The Macallan’s iconic oak casks; wood chippings, are innovatively incorporated into The Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak’s box and bottle labels. Back to the basics, but always innovating. The Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak is matured in a combination of first fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill sherry casks.
