This #WomensHistoryMonth, the @NBA, the @WNBA, @LeanInOrg, and @Aliyah.Boston are teaming up to show girls they belong in leadership — both on and off the court. Our video will air during NBA and WNBA games all season long. Together, we can empower girls to lead in their way — whether that’s cheering on their teammates, taking on new challenges, or rising after a setback. When we encourage girls to own their strengths and trust their abilities, there’s no limit to what they can achieve. And research shows that girls who play sports grow up to be women who lead: 80% of women who are Fortune 500 executives played sports at some point in their lives. It’s International Women’s Day — and these 17 stats bring the alarming reality of many women’s lives into focus. Around the world, countless women experience systemic barriers that men simply don’t. They are being denied equal access to education and healthcare. Violence against women remains shockingly common. Despite doing a majority of the world’s work, women hold just one-third of the world’s wealth. International Women’s Day is a call for global action. It’s about standing with women everywhere — recognizing that while our lives may be vastly different, their struggles are our struggles because our futures are bound together. And it’s an opportunity to recommit to building a world where women and girls are afforded the same chance in life: the freedom to choose their futures, control their own bodies, and reach their fullest potential. #iwd2025

#NOVA is one of the most heartbreaking documentaries I’ve ever watched. Produced by the same team I worked with on @ScreamsBeforeSilence — Meny Aviram (@menyav) and Kastina Communications — this film shines a light on the horrifying atrocities committed by Hamas at the music festival on October 7. It documents their crimes minute by minute. What started as a celebration of music, joy and community quickly turned to terror. Over 300 innocent people were murdered and 40 more were abducted. Using raw footage from survivors’ cameras and the terrorists’ body cameras, this documentary captures the devastating brutality so many experienced. I’m deeply grateful to the important work of Meny and Kastina Communications, giving all of us the opportunity to bear witness to ensure this tragedy will never be forgotten and never happen again. Watch it now on Amazon Prime.

No matter how much time passes, we must never forget the horrors that occurred at the hands of Hamas on October 7. That’s why @alonpenzel’s book is so important. “Testimonies Without Boundaries” brings the searing reality of that tragic day back in painful but necessary detail. Through testimonies from survivors, ZAKA volunteers, and forensic experts, it conveys the full depth of the atrocities Hamas committed — including the torture, rape, kidnapping, and murder of innocent civilians. As tough as this book is to read, we must all bear witness. And we must never allow this brutality to happen again. I’m grateful to Alon for his tireless work to document and honor the victims and their stories. bit.ly/4cb8gqH
There are books that change you — and @amygriffin’s “The Tell” is one of them. It was an honor to sit down with her to discuss this deeply personal memoir. Her resilience and strength left me feeling truly inspired. I’m so glad I got to meet Amy’s mother, Mimi Mitchell, whose unwavering support for her daughter is deeply moving. Their bond is a testament to the power of love and family. During our conversation, Amy shared the pivotal moment with her daughter that pushed her to finally face the trauma she had been avoiding for so long. She spoke about her search for answers, connection, acceptance and peace. Amy talked about breaking “the chain of shame and silence,” and how crucial it is for all survivors of sexual assault to be believed. By bravely sharing her story with the world, Amy will help so many others find hope and healing.
Today is #EqualPayDay, which means women had to work all of 2024 and this far into 2025 to earn what men earned last year alone. Women working full-time all year long earn just 84 cents for every $1 earned by men. When part-time workers are included, the gap widens to just 78 cents. It’s even worse for women of color. And gaps remain when you factor in education, experience, and industry. The pay gap persists even though women want and ask for more. A decade of @leaninorg and @mckinseyco’s Women In the Workplace report shows that women in corporate America ask for promotions and negotiate for raises at the same rates as men. The inequalities women experience at work go far beyond pay. Despite earning 59% of bachelor’s degrees, women make up only 29% of the C-suite and just 11% of Fortune 500 CEOs. And women are disadvantaged in their careers from the start. They’re less likely to be hired into entry-level roles and less likely promoted at the critical first step up to manager. For every 100 men promoted to manager in 2024, just 81 women were. Women are also far more likely than men to deal with comments and actions that undermine their skills — such as having their judgment questioned in their area of expertise. #EPD reminds us that equal pay is about more than just fairness — it’s about building an economy where everyone’s talent is valued. It’s about recognizing women’s work, investing in their abilities, and empowering them to lead. And it’s about supporting the families who depend on women every single day.

I just read “Who Believed in You?” by my friend @dinapowellmccormick and her husband @davemccormickpa. This book is a must-read for anyone who cares about leadership and mentorship in America. Dina and David have brought together inspiring stories from some of today’s most accomplished leaders—from @condoleezzarice to @satyanadella—revealing how transformative mentorship shaped their lives and careers. What makes this book special is how it shows that great mentorship isn’t just about career advancement—it’s about developing a new generation of leaders to face some of the challenges America faces right now. The book’s message is timeless: when someone believes in you, it can change everything. Check out this awesome interview Dina did on @lauracoxkaplan’s podcast She Said/She Said to learn more: https://bit.ly/4ceqVls whobelievedinyou.com
