I’ve evolved my definition of success 🪷 I know a few people have circulated this but I need this on my feed so I can keep coming back to it 🤍 repost of the brilliant @h.e.l.e.n.m.a.r.i.e
Social media has created the perfect arena for a culture of judgment. Much of it toxic and hurtful. But the shade we throw at others, even in the quiet of our minds, entangles us to the frequency of judgment. It has nothing to do with the target of our judgment and everything to do with our subconscious beliefs about ourselves and our worth, and our fears about life’s safety, or lack there of. I am going to use this as an opportunity to start cultivating more love and acceptance toward myself by disentangling myself from judgment, and re-entangling myself with compassion. Curiosity and compassion are the antidotes to this divisive, cancel culture we find ourselves in. Would love to hear your thoughts below👇🏽….even your harsh judgments! 😜 Stay curious and compassionate my friends 🤍 #cardio #reflections #judgment #compassion #curiosity #acceptance #selflove #healing #reminderformyself #love #humanity #peace
A reminder that movement is medicine. And just like anything, it is massively beneficial when in alignment with what your body is needing and detrimental if abused and out of alignment. Today I did yoga and it was like I was wringing my body out like a sponge, releasing all the chemical, mental, and emotional toxins from my being. It was self-care that left me feeling strong, yet grounded, calm, present and grateful. Do something that gives you that gift today. Whether it’s a walk outside, a hike, a swim, or a wild dance party of one in your kitchen. Let me know below what you are going to do!👇🏽Give me some new ideas! And thank you Tom and Nina of @globaltribeyoga for the powerful class today 🩵 KG #movement #medicine #yoga #health #wellness #fitness #strength #gratitude #healdocumentary #thehealbook
LAEH is out in paperback! 🤣 I would rather take a selfie video than recruit some reluctant video taker off the street or couch. Is there a way to use the selfie camera and the book cover reads correctly 🤔 But in all seriousness, I’m very proud of this award-winning companion book to the HEAL documentary. The sincere messages from people who have found hope and empowerment from the pages of HEAL have been beyond rewarding and heartwarming. Please get your paperback copy of HEAL today and give one to a friend in need of support. I cannot express how much I appreciate your continued support and being part of this beautiful HEAL community! 🩵 #heal #healbook #healing #healdocumentary #bestseller #book
It’s amazing what a regulated nervous system feels like! It’s been a minute because, well, the world is intense right now. I have a lot of tools, but sometimes you need to exit your environment and comfort zone, break your unconscious habits and routine, and sit with yourself long enough (without your “crutches” or “escapes”) and FEEL. And as you start to remove the distractions and distortions, you start to release, rest, and reset🩵🦋 Our bodies are miraculous AND/YET sometimes we need help dropping into parasympathetic and reconnecting to a more sustainable, natural rhythm. Thank you @shawellness_mexico for providing that framework and support with your talented staff, ancient modalities, and latest healing tech. My favorite of the week clearly being the Icarus VR training in slides 2 & 3 🤣 #wellness #healing #shawellness #heal #nervoussystem #peace #retreat #healwithkelly #shesback

I recently had a conversation with a dear friend who happens to be one of the top teachers for the Kabbalah Center. I am not technically a member of Kabbalah but I find the teachings resonate deeply and my convos with my friend always empower me and leave me feeling a sense of greater peace. Our conversation centered around “the lost sparks”. I will probably butcher the beautiful lesson but what I took away from it is that the Creator sprinkles into the world sparks of light which hold miracles, gifts, wisdom, keys, and codes. These lost sparks can ONLY be discovered in the DARK. The Creator created darkness for a purpose. It is part of the ONENESS, and is not bad, while light is good. It is only in contrast we can know TRUTH. My point is, if you are going through a tough time or a period of darkness, whether it be financial struggles, a debilitating or terrifying illness, a breakup, or a challenging time with your child, know that within that experience is a hidden God spark. Meant specifically for you to discover which holds a clue, a gift, or a sign essential to your life’s purpose, mission, or sacred contract. I encourage you to breathe, find the hope and faith in this ancient truth, and invite the lost spark to be revealed. If you are in a cave of darkness right now, know there is a treasure to be discovered in there too. Please share with a friend or tag someone who could use a God spark right now. 🖤✨💎🌈🙏🏽
People keep asking me to share what I eat on the daily so I’ll try to do more of this!! I’m in awe of the people that pump out great content all the time. I’m a work in progress 🤪 I’ll start with my post-workout simple smoothie. It changes depending on what I have in my fridge and pantry 😜 The @puorilife protein powder and collagen peptides I used in this smoothie are super clean, delicious, and the company is uber transparent. Puori’s motto is: Pure origin, potency, and peace of mind. The @healwithkelly podcast is proud to call Puori (pronounced PURE-ee) a sponsor🙏🏽 Use code “HEAL” on their website for 20% off! ✨ Let me know below if you want more videos of me sharing what I make/eat OR something else you’d like to see me do more of! My Malibu tennis team traveled to @usta Sectionals this weekend. The overwhelming feeling for me was nostalgia. I have been an athlete and a competitor since I was 5 years old. Competing in two matches a day reminded me of the hundreds of weekends I traveled to soccer tournaments, tennis tournaments, and softball tournaments when I was younger. My body was sweaty and sore. We got rain delayed and I bonded with my teammates during the breaks. I truly felt like a teenager again. The greatest part was acknowledging a new mental maturity that I didn’t have as a kid. Even though I lost the first two matches (and I HATE losing) I was given the opportunity to witness the critical voice within and realize how much air time I’ve given it over the years. Now I can hear it, hold it with compassion, recognize it as residual programming of perfectionism which resulted from my childhood dynamics, and shake it off. I can come back to the present moment and refocus on the task at hand rather than spiral down into a frustrated mess of self criticism and doubt, caused by unmet expectations of a delusional fantasy of perfection and a brutal cycle of self judgment. That voice is very convincing and debilitating. If I wasn’t playing well (which was too often for my fragile ego) I used gratitude to shift my energy quickly and get back into the zone. I thanked God that I am healthy, athletic, and have the opportunity to compete and have fun with a great group of women on both sides of the net. My grip would relax, my shoulders would drop, my lungs would expand, my smile would return. I wasn’t taught these tools as a kid, but it’s never too late to learn, grow, compete, and generate joy and vitality through sports (or anything that lights you up). I’m a work in progress, but everyday it’s me competing against an older version of me to upgrade the software (and hardware!) to become the best, highest, and most loving, kick ass version of me. I love winning, but losing presents the opportunity and discomfort that applies the heat and pressure to propel us toward and polish us into the greatest version of US. Shout out to our fearless coach @dinamcbride6 & captain @candacekellymalibu 🎾🤍

Reflections on the paramount importance of self care. A depleted, un-resourced you is of little help to anyone. Especially our kiddos who are downloading the energetic imprint of our nervous systems. Take the time and ask for the support you need to RE-SOURCE. It takes a village. Especially now. Tag someone below or share with someone who needs to hear this 🩵✨ Thank you to @shawellness_mexico for this incredible opportunity to rest, reset, and revitalize 🙏🏽 #heal #healwithkelly
What a week at @shawellness_mexico 🩵 I came here not knowing how much I needed what they have to offer. I chose the Rebalance and Energize program and boy, did they deliver. What I love is that SHA offers a nice blend of high-tech health diagnostics which let the medical staff know my mental, physical and emotional health and from there, they make recommendations for treatments, diet etc. I did not do any blood labs but that is available depending on the program. My mental stress was “extremely high” but so was my “resilience”. Yep. But at some point the former will burn out the latter and I was getting close. All of the treatments were incredible but I think it was the transcranial electrostimulation that finally found the switch to my sympathetic nervous system, and turned it off. I crawled into bed for a deep, restorative nap after that. There are too many incredible therapies and technologies to list but one that also blew my mind was the bioenergy assessment before my acupuncture session where they placed a little instrument briefly on different points in my fingers and toes (ends of the meridians). The practitioner Miguel could read exactly the kind of conflict that was causing me stress and the principal emotion I had been feeling in the past couple of weeks. From there he knew what acupuncture points to hit. Wild. SHA offers something for everyone (weight loss, leadership, well aging) but in general it is a wonderful place to come for a reset, a jumpstart, or a self care getaway that can infuse any healing journey with the care, nurturing, and scientific feedback you deserve. They offer three different daily menus (beautiful plant based deliciousness with fish if you need more protein) depending on your weight and health goals. It’s also a fun place to try a lot of different healing modalities if you are into that kind of thing 😉 A big thank you to the wonderful medical, holistic, and hospitality staff at SHA. I feel re-vitalized and overflowing with gratitude 🙏🏽✨ #healwithkelly #wellnessresort #selfcare #heal #health #healing #minbodyspirit #holistichealing #mentalhealth #nutrition #gratitude #integrativemedicine

It has taken me so long to understand the importance of this statement! The key to health and fulfillment (which to me is INNER PEACE) is captured by this beautiful line from Hamlet 👆🏽 I invite you to reflect upon where in your life you are still abandoning yourself, your truth, your dreams in order to procure some illusion of safety, security, self worth or success. What are you holding back from doing or saying for fear of disappointing a loved one, losing followers or favor, or fear of failing? Follow your HEART. It may lead you through an alchemical fire 🔥 but it will NEVER lead you astray. And on the other side, is the GOLD that is the truest expression of you. And that’s the YOU I want to hang with 🩵 #shakespeare #truth #love #peace #heal #selflove #awakening #authenticity
