We are taught to run away from any uncomfortable feeling we experience or to numb it. Even many “spiritual” life coaches teach you to only focus on the “good” but rarely are we encouraged to feel the “bad” but this is where the magic is. Facing the uncomfortable and feeling it in your body will make that experience only there for as long as it needs to be there for and it will actually feel beautiful. Surrender to it and MOVE through it. Your physical body is such a gift and all the “pain” that comes with it is such a gift. Learn the lesson that it teaches you by surrendering to it and then let it go with GRATITUDE. I know when you feel angry or you’re depressed this is the last thing you wanna do but DANCE! Move your body with an intention to feel it, hear what it’s trying to teach you and then be free of it. My mom’s little dog Fifi helped so much with my grief and my broken heart… the grief still takes hold of me relentlessly, fiercely, unexpectedly… it steals my breath and floods my eyes daily. It’s been almost 5 months since Keanu’s passing, but If I don’t make room for the pain and consciously let it pass through my body, it wants to take over. My heart has been broken on every level in the last year and a half, but being able to love so deeply is the greatest gift and I will do everything possible to keep my heart open to giving and receiving more love and more intense experiences, all while being 100 % aware of all the risks involved. If you’re grieving someone or something please make sure to make room for it in your day. Lay down and cry, punch a pillow, FEEL it all. I sob every day after my meditation, as I don’t want any of that energy to get stuck in my body and make me sick later on in life. It’s taking longer than I ever would imagine, but I let it be. I posted in stories about @bryantwood most recent meditation breathwork and I still recommend it as it moves so much energy through. But most importantly keep your heart open no matter how painful it may seem. God wants to experience Himself/Herself through you through all the emotions, don’t stop it and don’t numb it. I love spring and summer in Poland. I love the vibrant colors, the warm nights and the freshly picked berries and apples. Thanks to @prywatnykucharz.by.belvedere I got to taste a variety of local fruits, herbs and veggies on this trip. Nothing like fresh, tart cranberries from a vine or a blueberry smoothie 😍 The food and the restaurants here are some of the best I’ve ever been to. Poland has so much to offer, even Polish people don’t realize the beauty in their backyard (check out the last slide with the video from @micek.drones to believe it) I love coming here though it often feels like I’m a tourist now, as I’ve been living in US for 28 years already 😮and Poland is changing so rapidly. One of my greatest gifts that contributed to my success is the fact that I’m not afraid to look stupid and I’m not afraid to fail. I’ve also embraced that being in pain and being uncomfortable is absolutely necessary for any kind of transformation. Anyone who’s building muscles (like I am @dogpound 🙌) knows that to be true. Pushing yourself to a point of failure while training also builds mental strength and will power. I learned that when I was a ballet dancer, alone in NYC at 15. Being “fresh off the boat” I knew I was the weakest one, but I didn’t care if I fell flat on my face or embarrassed myself in any way, I knew I was growing faster than anybody else around me. I love heat and I think it loves me back 😝🙌 Regular heat exposure use (yeah, I know I probably shouldn’t be in a sauna every day, but I’m addicted, even to the smell of cedar 😂) is a staple in my “body wellness routine” It’s a great place to do my stretches, meditation and reading! I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s my sanctuary. Pro tip: DON’T wear your clip in hair extensions like I did on Monday, the metal parts get very HOT 😂😂😂 Here’re my other anti-aging tools that I to keep my body firm:-) – RF energy and ultrasound treatments @klinikamiracki these heat up the skin, stimulating collagen production and causing existing collagen fibers to contract and tighten. Game-changers in terms of firmness! – Weightlifting and Pilates.
