Dear Friends, Reflecting back on 2024 in Gaza… Witnessing the endless destruction and brutality forcibly endured by the Palestinian people has been totally nightmarish. But the additional horror factor has been the resounding silence and complicity from the leadership of countries who are all supporting this ongoing genocide. It exposes the full extent of the global industrial weapons manufacturing system, coupled with the moral bankruptcy of politicians and media run by billionaire tycoons. Dear Friends, Some of you may already know that The Palestinian Health Ministry has released a 649 page document giving details on more than 34,000 people, killed in Gaza between the 7th Oct and Aug 31st 2024. The name, age, gender and ID number of the victims of Israel’s assault are all included in the list that is organised in order of age.. beginning with those less than one year old. More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 94,925 were wounded in the attacks on Gaza since Oct 7th, the ministry have said. An estimated 10,000 more Palestinians are missing, likely dead and buried under rubble, according to the Ministry.. We have been witnessing this genocide for almost a year, with no end in sight! The media have more or less ignored what is taking place, while the bloodshed and violence spreads. I believe Israel is FAR more vulnerable now than it ever has been. And the government has little to no investment in rescuing the hostages, whether they’re alive or dead. Such a catastrophic tragedy for all concerned. Dear Friends, Thousands of protesters came out into the streets of Tel Aviv to demand the return of the hostages – while the leadership of the country has failed to achieve that goal for the best part of a year. Opportunities for any kind of sustainable peace have been utterly squandered. It is a terrible and tragic situation for everyone caught up in it,most especially for the tens of thousands of Palestinian’s whose lives have been absolutely destroyed in the worst kinds of ways and the families of the hostages who are being used like pawns in this hideous game.
