I never want Mia and Tio growing up making their mistakes and thinking โMum & Papa are gonna kill meโ When they make mistakes I hope they think โring mum and Papa, theyโll know what to doโ โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ
My last pics from 12 weeks at UP Manchester. I genuinely cannot wait to go again! Beyond excited to feel this energised and strong again. Only this time with two babies later, Iโll have some extra mum power ๐ช๐ผ
Roll on January! Like last time Iโll be sharing my 12 weeks with @ultimateperformancelive The good days, tough days, workouts and of course the F bombs to evil Steve ๐
Itโs going to sound strange to some that I want to get bigger. I want more muscle and more strength. Everyone assumes we all train to shrink and it isnโt always the case. Iโm 40 next year and one of the effects of aging is loss of muscle mass & strength, which puts us at a higher risk for injuries day to day and things like aches and pains and osteoporosis. Strength training and building muscle helps us in so many ways physically but also mentally. Believe it or not, studies show it helps with better sleep, increases energy expenditure, improves mental health and the ability to take on daily responsibilities as well. All in all it contributes to better aging, which Iโm all for!

Had to dig out some old photos recently as part of filming for our show. Aside from the dodgy decor, the one constant in most of my pictures was Fergie, my first dog and best friend ๐ฅฐ
Iโm so glad mum & dad decided to have her when I was just 18 months old. She helped teach me compassion, kindness, responsibility and the absolute unconditional love dogs have. Sitting writing this sat with Norman & Ollie knowing theyโre unknowingly doing the same for both Mia & Thiago makes me smile. ๐
If I had superpowers itโd be to go back to this time again, just for a couple of daysโฆ The good ole days โค๏ธ
(Iโd also move that wooden pig off the tele asap!) ๐
You guys remember evil Steve right?? He put me through my paces for 12 weeks @ultimateperformancelive before i had Mia. Well Iโve decided from January Iโm going back for another 12 weeks! ๐ค I want to see strength wise if Iโm still capeable to hit those PBโs 5 years later and after two babies. Weight wise Iโm very nearly back to what I was pre pregnancy. (Iโm about 6lb off) Those that have followed me a while know Iโve never been arsed about the scales really. Women fluctuate during monthly cycles anyway so Iโve never focused on just that alone. I was actually heavier in these videos than I am now but a shed load stronger too. I know thereโs always been the craze in society for us to be slim, but once youโve been strong and muscular, for me, thereโs no better feeling! I canโt think of a better way to start the new year. My 40th year! Iโm over half way through @hatch_athletic postpartum plan at the min and I cannot recommend Kat enough to ladies whoโve had a baby and want to start training again. The attention to detail in her plans not only for ab separation but to mentally make sense of what our body has been through has made such a difference to me. Itโs actually help put me in the mindset to do the 12 weeks again. I highly recommend.
Like last time at UP Iโll be sharing my training journey on here with honest before and afters. The days itโs tough, as itโs never just easy unfortunately ๐ I think pain wise though after a full day in labour with Tio rocking back and forth upstairs I can take the DOMS from Evil Steve! Excited to see what this mama can do ๐ช๐ผ
Nothing beats growing up with the love of a dog ๐ถโค๏ธ
Itโs been 13 months since Iโve tried to lift even half of this weight. Form still isnโt Great but itโs an achievement! 55kg 10reps for 3 sets.
Still a way off what I was lifting pre Thiago but 5 months ago thereโs no way I could ever imagine myself lifting again. I canโt speak for all mums but I know for some of us something happens when you have a baby. You get this kind of imposter syndrome where you think everything you did pre baby is impossible. Hormones are shot, youโre exhausted and for me, with my 2nd section and a toddler to already look after, it took longer for me to feel ok physically, And mentally I spent the first 4wks worried sick about haemorrhaging again. About 7wks in I carried Tio upstairs in his car seat because I was so fed up of ppl doing everything for me. A few hrs later I lost some blood and I had to go back to hospital. It was only old blood coming away & I was home within hours. It scared me though and I was so annoyed at myself for lifting him like that. It was a big wake up call about how big an operation Iโd had. Twice! I had a moment after thinking I just needed to accept mentally & physically I prob wonโt be the same again and that this was a new norm I had to get used to. I have 2 happy healthy babies so what does it matter? But the thing is,it did & it does. Because if us as parents arenโt feeling good in ourselves, how on earth are we supposed to parent to our best ability? How are we supposed to set examples? Everyone had something they loved to do before being a parent (for me itโs training. Nothing makes me feel better) a lady msgd me once saying she used to run marathons but after a section with twins she assumed sheโd never run that far again, but she did. On her twins 5th bโday week! To others, your little post partum successes will seem daft. Ignore them. To you they are wins! I know it doesnโt feel like it in the early months of parenthood, but you will eventually get โyouโ back. And both you & your kids will thrive from it. So Keep going in whatever your small successes may be ๐๐ผ
Pls donโt attempt any exercise without the go ahead from a postpartum specialist! Iโve been seeing my pelvic floor specialist regularly โฅ๏ธ
To my fellow, we canโt really dance but we try after a drink, always bring shades to hide our smudged mascara from laughing, always missing at parties but is always found on the floor with the dog or any other house pet, gin loving legend! @nat3891 Thereโs not enough we can say to describe you! Your kindness, love and loyalty to your friends is something else and Iโve had the pleasure of experiencing it first hand since we were 17! Today you turn 40!!!! And youโre even more fabulous! Happy Birthday Nat, see you later for cake and coffee (because weโre now that cool) ๐โค๏ธ

I keep going because I choose to make it part of my lifestyle.
To stick at it, make it part of yours.
Itโs not a chore. Itโs something you get to do to each day to become better than you were day before.๐งโโ๏ธโค๏ธ
I love this! One of the biggest mistakes i made years ago when I first started training was thinking I had to make the most drastic changes to see results. No sugar, no bread, loads of cardio, no fun ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
It was stupid and in all honesty a waste of time because it did the complete opposite of what I wanted. Small daily habits that become your new norm make all the difference, and youโre likely to be able to stick them way more easily! Things like, if you work on a high floor deciding to take the stairs every day instead of the lift. If you have a daily coffee, try to have it without sugar. Set the alarm just 10 mins earlier and commit to a quick YouTube stretch video before you start your day. Little things become the big things in your progress and after just 2 wks of implementing the changes they really do become the โNormalโ. Years ago I used to buy a bag of haribos every time I put petrol in the car for no reason other than it was a bad habit ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
I told myself instead of haribos Iโd get a bottle of water instead. I stuck to it and now, thatโs my new habit and I no longer crave those rank glucose, gelatine, dextrose sweets! I have them on occasion if I fancy, not just because Iโve put petrol in my bloody car.
Always Start small, because that way, the only way is up! โฌ๏ธ ๐๐ผ
From writing away with Tio in my tummy to having the very first copy of my first childrenโs book. โDogs Donโt Danceโ I wanted to write a confidence building book that obviously included dogs! After being told that dogs donโt dance, Dusty and Dave go on a wonderful adventure together overcoming shyness, nervousness and in trying something new, they prove that dogs can dance, and in the process, meet lots of new friends and lots of new memories as well ๐ฅฐ
Thank you so much @scholastic_uk for this opportunity, and Iโm sorry for all the back and forth with my โIโm adding this into it nowโ emails ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ Thanks for your patience. And to the incredibly talented @lease_doodles for bringing all of the characters to life how I imagined. What a dream team!
Iโll pop the link to pre order on my stories and in my bio. I hope you all enjoy it ๐๐ถโฅ๏ธ

#AD Iโm thrilled to be teaming up this winter with the wonderful charity @dogsforgood_uk and @morethan to help raise funds for families with autism. The impact a dog can have on families is remarkable. Their loyalty, compassion and companionship helps in more ways than we can imagine. Together, with our four legged friends, we can make a difference to families who need it. Until 31st December 2023, @morethan will match donations to @dogsforgood_uk winter appeal up to a total of ยฃ45,000. Together, with our four-legged friends, we can make a massive difference to families. Thank you! โค๏ธ๐ถ
AD Cry Babies Newborn Coney is now available at @smythstoys She has realistic features of a newborn including real tears and 20 baby-like sounds. Great for role play and nurturing as when your child wears the interactive bracelet and holds her, she reacts! Making children think they are mum. Miaโs loving Newborn Coney as sheโs desperate to do all of those things with Thiago. Heโs not quite big enough for the rough and tumble just yet so itโs good she has Coney to practice on ๐ฅฐ
