What a moment. Thank you for blessing our girl. ❤️
Oh Mount Shasta … what a special place you are — truly one of the most sacred places on Earth. Thank you for the healing energy and reset. 💫 🙌🏔️🙏❤️🩹 While we each had deeply impactful and personal takeaways, these were also themes of the trip: 🔅More being – less doing. 🔅Many are afraid of death yet they’re not fully living now. Keep discovering awe and moments that take your breath away. 🔅It is critical that we respect and protect Mother Earth and those who came before us. 🔅We all have everything we need within us. Grateful to David for curating a truly indescribable experience. #mtshasta #mountshasta #morebeinglessdoing #letgo #trust #divinefemininity #springwater #gratitude #metatron #quantumhealing #cliffjumping #andsoitis #magical #youhadtobethere #vortex #nature #panthermeadow #hiking
The average lifespan in the U.S. has actually FALLEN to 76, so middle age for many is not 50. It’s 38. Reading that shook me. And it’s why I’m especially grateful for reset moments like these. It’s so important to get out of your environment, away from the noise, and back to yourself. It’s an opportunity for a check in— are you living your why? Have you thought about what that why is? Are your thoughts, words, and actions aligned with creating that? I’m so grateful for our trip to Mount Shasta and the sacred lands there that are protected thanks to the 1984 California Wilderness Act and others before it. We need to protect as much of our nature as possible. It’s what helps us remember who we are ❤️

VP Harris’s great niece watches her make history. Powerful photo from the @nytimes — What did you think of @vp’s speech tonight and the #DNC as a whole?

These are the top two ways in which the Trump campaign might shift its message. Thank you @foxbusiness for having me today!
The way she snuggled into me when I got home from my trip 😩 The past week reminded me how much we have to be grateful for (Will share more after the holiday) in this fleeting life. What a gift to be alive! Family is most important of all. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours ❤️
She’s the Captain now! Brought Alessandra to my LA County Commission meeting and she wanted that gavel 😂
That’s a wrap! One month. 6 countries. Countless memories and invaluable time bonding with our girl. I love her curiosity. And her innocence. I loved how much Italians love babies, or piccolini, as they call them. There is such a greater emphasis on family in Italy. Mothers and babies are respected, and parents get paid time off (mothers get 5 months paid leave!). I’ve said it a million times, but the U.S. is one of roughly 5 countries in the entire world with no paid family leave (we just have a federal law that says you won’t be fired if you take time off, but you won’t get paid time away). It’s insane to me that everyone else globally understands how supporting parents and babies creates a win win for everyone, for all of society. Yet somehow we forget. Anyway, it’s good to be home 🇺🇸

I am so grateful for experiences that make me question everything about my own reality or what I accept to be true. Socotra did that for me to a degree I didn’t expect. It could be the most basic things you’ve accepted as truth. For example: Eating at a table — Yemenis eat on the ground. Using a fork — they use their hands. Dating before I choose who I want to marry —they don’t date, and until recently, women couldn’t choose who they married. Eating at a restaurant — it’s not customary for local women to eat at restaurants alone. Seeing people who are homeless — there are no homeless here, as the very few without a home are immediately sheltered by those who can afford it. Not having strangers in my house — they welcome all strangers. Whatever you might think about Yemen, unless you’ve been to Socotra, you will not expect what I’m about to share. Stay tuned!
In another “we did not see that on the 2024 political bingo card” moment, @robertfkennedyjr officially says he’ll suspend his campaign and he’ll throw his support to former President Trump who he more aligns with on anti-censorship and government corruption issues. Many believe this will provide a bump to Trump’s campaign in what is expected to be a very tight race. Share your thoughts 👇🏽
Here is my two cents on the bill that would allow illegal immigrants up to $150,000 in loans to purchase a home. Like so many things, lawmakers are trying to treat the symptom rather than the root cause. Addressing the root cause would mean fixing our broken immigration system. That’s where any money we actually have should go. I also think this policy fans flames of frustration among Americans who are struggling to make ends meet. It feels like nobody is looking out for them. At the same time, the way this law has been portrayed makes immigrant families feel vilified. I am the daughter of an immigrant. Immigrants are often some of the hardest working people who want to become citizens, but often can’t for many years because our system sucks. So the anger should be directed mainly at crap policy in my opinion— policy that encourages people to come illegally because coming legally is actually much harder to do and offers fewer benefits. Lastly, this law doesn’t even have any money behind it. So it’s mostly smoke and mirrors and thus pandering to voters to get their vote, IMO. The Latino community in particular has told me they feel they’re always pandered to around election time, but forgotten the rest of the year. They deserve better too.
We slept in the firhmen forest under the stars, surrounded by the famous endemic (they’re only found here) dragon blood trees that live more than 500 years!! Which scene is your favorite? While here, the local Bedouin people slaughtered a goat for us. At first I thought there was no chance in hell I would try it, but then I thought about how American meat is factory farmed in inhumane conditions, raised on GMO feed, and pumped with hormones, and I had to check myself. They use all of the goat, including the skin, to make drums. Living among these trees and with the Bedouin people is a core memory. #socotra #yemen

Socotra, Yemen is not what you might think. 🤯 It’s otherworldly. Wild. Untamed. Exquisitely, ruggedly breathtaking. The Galápagos of the Indian Ocean, where you’ll find species that exist only here. If Dr Seuss’s world were real. Nothing like what you think you know about Yemen. #bucketlist #research #MENA #middleeast #socotra #yemen #dragonbloodtrees #UNESCO
